Since then, her public work has centered on philanthropy and cooking: she established the Jenny Jones Foundation, launched community-grant programs, and shared recipes and cooking videos through JennyCanCook.com. Her official biography says she lives in Los Angeles with her husband, though that undated page does not independently confirm her present-day circumstances.
Why did The Jenny Jones Show end?
The program began national syndication on September 16, 1991, and completed its run in 2003. On the show’s official history page, Jones recalled that in winter 2003 “we got word that the company would not be renewing our show again.” That is her account of the decision: the show was not renewed.
Jones’s official biography says the series recorded more than 2,000 tapings and featured close to 50,000 guests. Those totals are figures reported by her biography, not independently audited statistics.
Did the Secret Crush controversy end the show?
No connection is established in the available official accounts. The 1995 “Secret Crush” episode became notorious after one former guest killed the other several days after taping. Jones’s biography says the victim’s family sued and that Jones and the producers were ultimately found not responsible. Her first-person account places the company’s non-renewal decision in winter 2003, eight years later, and does not say the incident caused the program to end.
