Lounges.tv is a UK-based live and on-demand video platform built around specific events rather than an endless free-video feed. Creators can stream concerts, comedy, podcasts, classes and venue events; sell tickets or recorded videos; accept tips; offer subscriptions; and interact with viewers. You can browse without registering, but some streams and videos are paid. Its value depends on whether a particular creator or event gives you something worth attending.
What Lounges.tv actually is
Lounges.tv combines live interactive streaming, pay-per-view events, paid video on demand, tips, creator subscriptions and, where enabled, private one-to-one sessions. The company describes the service as a digital venue for creators and fans, including broadcasts of events that have sold out physically or have limited capacity. See Lounges.tv’s overview and its live-from-the-venue explanation.
That makes it different in emphasis from Twitch’s recurring free-stream communities or YouTube’s enormous searchable catalogue. Lounges.tv is designed around a creator’s particular performance, release or fan experience, with the creator controlling access and pricing.
Lounges.tv Limited, an English company incorporated under number 12950479, operates the service. Its terms say browsing does not require registration; people registering for an account generally warrant that they are at least 16, subject to local consent rules. Availability can vary by country and platform.

- Fitness and wellness sessions
- Q&As, teaching sessions and masterclasses
- Venue-based broadcasts
- Paid recordings, extended cuts and behind-the-scenes videos
- Premium or private one-to-one experiences
Showcase competitions
The separate Showcase proposition focuses on short-form talent discovery. Viewers watch entries, vote and take part in competitions whose winners are determined by viewer votes. The app listing calls the product “Lounges: The Creator Showcase”; the web description is at https://lounges.tv/showcase/about.
Is Lounges.tv free?
It is free to browse and includes free content, but many headline events are paid. Creators choose whether a stream is free, ticketed or available as a paid recording. The homepage displayed featured prices of £10 and £20 when checked on August 18, 2026; those were examples, not a standard rate. A creator-set pay-per-view price can be as high as £100 under the terms.

Why watch Lounges.tv?
Exclusive events
The strongest reason is access to something not released publicly elsewhere: a concert, sold-out venue extension, special comedy set, early video release or intimate discussion. The platform’s venue-streaming and video-on-demand pages present these as core use cases.

Participation rather than playback
Live chat, reactions, Q&A and two-way streaming can make a masterclass, podcast, performance or fan session feel more like attending than watching a recording. Features depend on the individual event.
Direct creator support
A ticket, tip or subscription sends money through a model built around the creator rather than relying only on advertising impressions. Lounges.tv advertises an 80% creator share, but that is a headline figure: the terms allow deductions for its commission, taxes, administration, licensing, app-store fees and other applicable expenses. Marketing pages say earnings are targeted for availability within 24 hours; first withdrawals can take up to seven days for KYC, and UK and non-UK withdrawal conditions differ.
Focused talent discovery
Showcase offers a reason to open the app even when you are not looking for a particular event: short entries, voting and competitions provide a more deliberate discovery experience than an ordinary social feed.

Premium replayable releases
Creators can sell recorded performances, extended versions or behind-the-scenes material after a live event. Do not assume every ticket includes a replay; that is event-specific.
Lounges.tv compared with other platforms
| Platform | Natural strength | Where Lounges.tv differs |
|---|---|---|
| Lounges.tv | Creator-controlled tickets, premium videos, tips and interactive events | Event-by-event access; catalogue and device coverage may be narrower |
| YouTube | Huge free catalogue, search and broad discovery | Lounges.tv is more deliberately paywalled and event-focused |
| Twitch | Recurring live communities and habitual viewing | Lounges.tv centres more on scheduled, ticketed experiences |
| TikTok Live | Mobile-first algorithmic discovery | Lounges.tv is better suited to controlled-access premium events |
| Patreon | Memberships and continuing fan support | Lounges.tv is built more directly for live viewing and pay-per-view |
These are use-case distinctions, not a claim that one service is universally better. Lounges.tv’s creator page contains an older competitor comparison labelled correct as of November 2023; its percentages should not be treated as current competitor terms.

Tickets are not automatically refundable
The terms generally exclude refunds after content has been consumed, subject to statutory rights and specified situations such as cancellation, postponement arrangements or platform discretion. Before paying, confirm whether the event is live-only, whether replay is included, how long access lasts, and what fees and taxes appear at checkout.

Technical and device limitations
Stream quality depends on the creator’s equipment, production and connection as well as your own network. Lounges.tv does not guarantee that every event will load on every device. Use the event’s access instructions rather than assuming the app and browser expose identical features.
Country and platform availability
The terms reserve the right to restrict the service or parts of it in particular countries or on particular platforms. Do not treat promotional claims of international reach as a guarantee that a specific event is available where you live.
App versus website
The mobile app is especially oriented toward Showcase and short-form discovery. The website is presented as the fuller environment for creator pages and livestreaming. Apple lists iOS 15.6 or later for the app; Android availability is listed on Google Play. Check the event’s own instructions.
Buying access is not buying ownership
A ticket grants a limited personal licence to view. The terms prohibit copying, redistribution, rebroadcasting and public presentation. Music licensing support advertised to creators does not automatically clear every recording: creators remain responsible for rights, including restrictions affecting commercially released recordings used by DJs.
Quick wins for a faster PC:

- Good fit: fans following a particular creator; viewers who value live participation; people interested in music, comedy, podcasts or specialist classes; and fans willing to pay for a distinctive event.
- Less suitable: viewers seeking a vast free catalogue, one universal all-you-can-watch subscription, guaranteed downloads or replay, broad smart-TV and console support, or a mature recommendation ecosystem.
Verdict
Lounges.tv is worth watching when the creator or event is the attraction. It offers a direct, event-focused alternative to ad-supported video and recurring livestream platforms, with free streams alongside tickets, premium recordings, tips and subscriptions. Treat every purchase as an event-specific decision: verify access, replay, fees, refund terms and device support before paying. It is not a replacement for YouTube, Twitch, TikTok or Patreon in every use case; it is a useful venue when exclusive access and interaction matter more than catalogue size.
