CNN is on channel 200 on DISH Network. DISH’s current national guide lists CNN there, including an HD feed where available. Whether you can watch it depends on your subscription, receiver, location and service status.
CNN’s DISH channel number
Tune your DISH receiver to channel 200 for the main, English-language CNN network. The live DISH channel guide lists CNN at 200, while DISH’s printable lineup is marked valid as of July 2026.
CNN is identified as an HD channel in that lineup. HD picture quality still requires a compatible HD television and receiver, the appropriate service, and coverage in your location. DISH notes that availability can vary by geography, time zone, package and equipment.
How to tune to CNN
- Turn on your television and DISH receiver.
- Enter 200 on the remote’s number pad.
- Press Select, or wait for the receiver to change channels.
- Check the on-screen listing to confirm that it says CNN.
Remote behavior and menu labels differ among Hopper, Joey, Wally and other DISH receivers, so these are general navigation steps rather than a model-specific button sequence.

Find CNN in the DISH guide
Open your receiver’s program guide and search for CNN. Select the CNN result to tune to channel 200. You can also use the online DISH guide. If the listing is absent, the guide may be out of date, your account may not include CNN, or a custom channel list may be hiding it.
Does your DISH package include CNN?
DISH’s package pages list CNN with America’s Top 120 and America’s Top 200. The July 2026 printable lineup also places CNN in a News Pack section and says programming is subject to package requirements. These materials do not establish that CNN is included in every DISH plan.

Your account-specific lineup controls access. Check the live guide or DISH’s programming-management resources at DISH TV support before changing packages. A channel number alone does not prove that your subscription authorizes the network.
CNN, HLN and CNN en Español are different channels

The channel numbers for HLN and CNN en Español come from DISH’s July 2026 lineup. If you want the primary CNN network, use 200 rather than 202. Spanish-language viewers looking specifically for CNN en Español should check channel 849 and confirm that the Latino Bonus Pack is on the account.

What to do if CNN channel 200 is missing
- Check your subscription. Confirm that your current package or news add-on includes CNN. If channel 200 produces an unavailable-channel message, the issue is more likely authorization or package eligibility than an incorrect channel number.
- Search for CNN by name. Use the receiver’s guide search. This distinguishes a missing guide entry from a channel that is not subscribed.
- Leave a favorites-only list. Switch to All Channels, or the equivalent full-lineup option, if a customized favorites list is active. Favorites lists can hide channel 200.
- Refresh or restart the receiver. A restart can clear a temporary guide or authorization problem, but it does not guarantee that a missing subscription will be restored.
- Check equipment and regional limits. DISH says channel availability can depend on location, time zone, package and dish or receiver configuration. HD service may have additional equipment and regional limitations.
- Contact DISH. If your package should include CNN but channel 200 remains unavailable, ask DISH to verify account authorization and receiver service.
Can CNN’s channel number vary by state?
DISH’s national online and printable guides list CNN on channel 200 rather than assigning it different local numbers by city. Nevertheless, DISH cautions that the channels you can receive depend on your location, time zone, subscription and equipment. Treat 200 as the general DISH listing and your account’s live guide as the final authority.
