Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree cartoon streaming is easiest to navigate when you separate three things: legal availability, the type of viewing experience, and whether a title is actually free in your region. The services below are established platforms or official channels. Most are aimed at viewers in the United States, and their catalogs can change without notice.
Some offer an on-demand library, while others mainly provide scheduled live channels. “Free” commonly means ad-supported or limited to selected episodes—not access to every season of every show.
1. Tubi
Tubi’s Kids Shows category is one of the broadest places to start. Its rotating animation selection has included My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, Scooby-Doo, Teen Titans, Courage the Cowardly Dog, LEGO Ninjago, Pokémon, Ben 10, The Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and Dexter’s Laboratory.
From the home page, open Categories → Kids & Family → Kids Shows. Tubi also groups animation under Anime for All, Kid Friendly Classics, and Family Animation.

- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
- TV, simplified: With setup that only takes minutes, a simple-to-navigate Home Screen, and an uncluttered remote control that does all you need—Roku makes it easier to watch the TV you love.
Tubi is free and ad-supported. It says that a subscription and credit card are not required. An optional account is useful for features such as synchronizing a watchlist across devices. Shows can disappear when licensing agreements change.
2. Pluto TV
Pluto TV works more like a free television service than a conventional box set. It combines live channels with on-demand programs, making it useful when you want cartoons playing without choosing a specific episode.
Use the top navigation for Live TV, On Demand, or Search. The live guide may include channels such as Pluto TV Kids, Anime & Cartoons, After School Cartoons, Classic Toons TV, and Kids TV: Learn & Play.
The limitation is control: a scheduled channel may be showing a program you cannot start from the beginning. Pluto’s channel names, schedules, and availability also change, so check the current guide rather than relying on an old channel list. Advertising is part of the service.

On the website, select Videos or Watch Live TV. In the app, choose LIVE TV to watch the live PBS KIDS stream. The app also permits downloads of selected programs for offline viewing.
PBS KIDS states that the service is free, requires no sign-in or subscription, and is ad-free. The live stream can reflect the viewer’s local PBS station, and the service is focused on preschool and elementary-age educational programming rather than action-oriented classic cartoons.
4. YouTube Kids
YouTube Kids provides a separate browsing experience for cartoons, animated shorts, nursery animations, and children’s programming from approved channels. Open the app or website, then search by show, character, or topic.

5. WB Kids on YouTube
The verified WB Kids channel is a safer YouTube destination for Warner Bros. animation. It features official clips, compilations, shorts, and some longer videos involving Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Bugs Bunny Builders, and related characters.
Search YouTube for WB Kids or open the channel directly. Browsing its playlists is more dependable than searching the wider platform for a supposed complete episode.
This is an official channel, but it is not a replacement for a full streaming catalog. Many uploads are clips or compilations, and the selection differs by country. It also does not provide every series or complete season free of charge.
6. Plex
Plex’s Animation category combines free, ad-supported movies and series with other content that may require a rental, purchase, or separate service. Listings have included ReBoot, Sonic the Hedgehog, The Garfield Show, My Little Pony, and Speed Racer.
Open On Demand → Animation. You can also browse Kids & Family or look through Plex’s free live channels.

Check the title page before pressing play. Plex’s wider discovery interface can show paid and free programs together, while free on-demand titles are ad-supported. Availability depends on location. Plex also supports child profiles and content controls for families.

7. The Roku Channel
The Roku Channel’s free catalog includes children’s and animated programming, with listings such as JunyTony and other family-oriented shows.
Open Free Movies & TV, then browse the children’s or animation selections, or search for a particular title. A program page should display Free with ads when the title is included at no charge.
That label matters. The Roku Channel also presents rentals, subscriptions, and programming supplied through other services. The catalog is regional and changes over time, so confirm the exact status on the title page rather than assuming that every result is free.

On supported devices, install the Cartoon Network app and follow Activate. Some full-episode and live-TV access requires authentication through a participating television provider. Individual unlocked episodes may be available without signing in, but the selection changes.
Cartoon Network is therefore not a completely free substitute for cable or a full subscription service. It is best treated as an official source for selected episodes and clips, with provider authentication required for broader access.
How to choose the right free cartoon site
| What you want | Best starting points | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Large rotating on-demand catalog | Tubi, Plex | Ads, changing licenses, and a mixture of available titles |
| Live cartoon channels | Pluto TV, PBS KIDS | Scheduled programming rather than complete control over episode order |
| Younger children and educational shows | PBS KIDS Video, YouTube Kids | Parental controls and programming aimed at younger viewers |
| Official Warner Bros. cartoons | WB Kids | Clips, compilations, shorts, and selected longer videos |
| Cartoon Network programs | Cartoon Network | Some unlocked videos; provider login may be needed for full access |
How to avoid unreliable cartoon sites
- Check who operates the service. Established platforms, broadcasters, and verified studio channels are safer choices than anonymous sites carrying current studio programs.
- Look for the actual access label. On Plex and The Roku Channel, confirm that a title is marked free or free with ads. A search result alone does not establish that it costs nothing.
- Be wary of “every episode” promises. Legal services often have selected seasons, rotating licenses, clips, or scheduled channels—not every episode ever produced.
- Do not install a download player or browser extension to watch. A cartoon page that demands unusual software, redirects through multiple tabs, or requests payment-card details for a supposedly free stream is a strong warning sign.
- Expect regional differences. A title available in the United States may be absent elsewhere, and live PBS programming may depend on the local station.
FAQ
Are these cartoon streaming sites legal?
The services and channels listed here are established legal sources, including official broadcasters, studio channels, and ad-supported platforms. That does not mean every cartoon site on the internet is authorized. Anonymous sites showing current studio programs without a recognizable rights-holder relationship should be treated cautiously.
Which option is free and ad-free?
PBS KIDS Video states that its service is free and ad-free. Tubi, Pluto TV, Plex, and The Roku Channel generally use advertising. YouTube Kids and WB Kids may also show platform advertising.

Sometimes, but there is no guarantee. Free services usually offer selected shows or seasons, and catalogs change as licenses expire. Cartoon Network may require a participating TV-provider login for broader full-episode access.
Why can’t I find a cartoon that was listed previously?
Streaming rights and channel schedules change. Tubi, Pluto TV, Plex, and The Roku Channel use rotating catalogs, while YouTube channels can change their available videos or regional access. Search the service again immediately before watching.
The Bottom Line
For a large on-demand selection, begin with Tubi; for live cartoon channels, try Pluto TV; and for younger children, PBS KIDS Video is the most focused option. Use YouTube Kids and WB Kids when you want official channel content, and verify the “free with ads” label on Plex or The Roku Channel. Cartoon Network is useful for official clips and selected episodes, but its full access can require a TV-provider login.
