This guide preserves the original viewing information and separates Ubisoft’s confirmed lineup from the rumors that circulated before the showcase.
When was Ubisoft Forward 2024?
Ubisoft Forward 2024 was held on Monday, June 10, 2024. Ubisoft’s 30-minute preshow started before the main presentation, and the company invited viewers to stay afterward for deeper looks at some upcoming games.

YouTube or the Ubisoft Forward page were the better choices for accessibility features and replay viewing. Twitch was the practical choice for live chat, co-streams, and the event’s Twitch Drops. Ubisoft Connect was convenient for viewers already using Ubisoft’s PC launcher.
Accessibility options
Ubisoft said its YouTube broadcast included English subtitles, English audio description, and American Sign Language. The company also said trailers from the event would be made available with subtitles in multiple languages, including French, German, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Arabic, Turkish, Polish, and Thai.
Those details applied to Ubisoft’s stated YouTube broadcast and trailer availability; they should not be read as a guarantee that every platform offered every accessibility option.
Which games were confirmed before the show?
Ubisoft officially highlighted three games ahead of the presentation: Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and XDefiant. The announcement also referred to additional games and updates without publishing a complete lineup.

Because Ubisoft had confirmed the game’s appearance, new gameplay was one of the safest expectations. Viewers could reasonably expect more of protagonist Kay Vess, along with footage or information covering exploration, combat, stealth, and the game’s criminal-underworld setting. The showcase arrived ahead of the game’s August 30, 2024 release.

That confirmation did not, by itself, establish which missions, planets, or story details would be shown.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Ubisoft also confirmed Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Likely areas of focus included its two playable protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke; the Japanese setting; the contrast between stealth and direct combat; and further release information.
Specific rumored mechanics or plot details should not have been treated as confirmed until Ubisoft presented them officially.
XDefiant
Ubisoft’s newly launched competitive shooter was another confirmed feature. The most plausible focus was the game’s first season, including maps, factions, weapons, and its plans for ongoing live-service content. The event ultimately included XDefiant Season 1 details.

These were part of the rumor landscape, not Ubisoft’s confirmed schedule. GameSpot’s pre-event coverage documented some of that speculation, but a rumored title appearing in a preview did not mean it was scheduled to be shown.

Both headline games received new gameplay footage. Their appearances gave viewers a more substantial look at Ubisoft’s upcoming open-world releases than the initial pre-event listing alone suggested.

A target is not the same as a guaranteed launch date, so the remake’s 2026 timing should be understood as Ubisoft’s announced goal at the event.

Viewers needed to link their Twitch and Ubisoft accounts before watching. Ubisoft said co-streamers using Twitch’s Special Events category could also qualify.
The promotion was tied to the June 10, 2024 event. The rewards should not be described as currently claimable, and watching an unofficial stream, failing to link accounts, missing the required cumulative viewing time, or watching after the promotion expired could prevent eligibility.

What the event was really about
Ubisoft Forward 2024 was primarily a showcase for near-term releases and ongoing games. Star Wars Outlaws, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and XDefiant formed the confirmed core of the presentation. The biggest additional value came from the three Prince of Persia announcements, especially the first substantial update on The Sands of Time remake and its 2026 target.
