Archive note: The 2025 Open has finished. This guide records how viewers could watch the 153rd Open Championship, played at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland from July 17–20, 2025. The wider championship week ran from July 13–20.
Where The Open 2025 was shown in the United States
U.S. television coverage was split between NBC, Golf Channel and Peacock. NBC carried the principal live windows on Thursday through Sunday, while Golf Channel handled preview programming, repeats and post-round coverage.
Peacock was the more flexible streaming option. Alongside the main broadcast, it offered featured groups, a dedicated Par-3 Channel, All Access, Multiview and other alternate feeds. Those streams were not simply duplicate NBC or Golf Channel broadcasts, so viewers looking for a particular group or hole generally needed to open the relevant Peacock feed.
The R&A announced 187 live broadcast hours across NBC, Peacock and Golf Channel. The official U.S. listings used Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), not Northern Ireland local time, and were subject to change.

How to stream The Open
- Open Peacocktv.com/golf or the Peacock app.
- Choose the main live broadcast if you want the standard television presentation.
- Select Featured Groups if you want to follow a particular pairing.
- Use Multiview to watch several featured feeds at once, or choose the Par-3 Channel and Featured Holes for specific parts of the course.
- Use All Access for additional tournament coverage rather than the main broadcast feed.
NBC Sports also directed viewers to the NBC Sports App. Availability and login requirements depended on the service and subscription arrangement. Peacock’s feeds were separate streams; they should not be described as channels available through NBC or Golf Channel television.
Watching from outside the United States
The Open’s rights were assigned by territory. A U.S. Peacock subscription was not a universal international solution, and R&A TV availability could also be limited by local rights agreements.
| Territory | Broadcaster or service |
|---|---|
| United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland | Sky Sports |
| Canada | TSN / RDS |
| Australia | Fox Sports |
| New Zealand | Sky TV |
| Japan | U-Next / JGN |
| South Korea | JTBC |
| South Africa | SuperSport Africa |
| France | Canal Plus Golf+ |
| Italy | Sky Italia |
| Germany, Austria and Switzerland | Sky Germany |
| Denmark, Norway and Sweden | V Sport Golf |
| Brazil, Argentina and Chile | ESPN Latin America |
The R&A said the championship was televised in 199 countries and territories through more than 30 broadcast partners. Viewers in countries not listed above were advised to check local listings.

- ⛳【9-Piece Complete Golf Set】 -This men’s golf club set consists of lightweight stand bag with hood, 1# Driver, 5# hybrid, 5# 7# 9# PW# irons and putter. 1# Driver wood is equipped with a head cover for better protection.
- 🏌️♂️【1# Large-Head Driver Woods】 - The 460 cc aluminum alloy driver features low center of gravity to prevent inverted suspension. Furthermore, the high strength thin surface and enlarged sweet spot improves forgiveness and allows better hitting.
- 🏌️♂️【Convenient Hybrid & Irons】 - With low-profile design, the high elasticity hybrid can provide more speed to add distance. Besides, the irons with zinc alloy heads have deep grooves that increase friction for better control and spin. By the way, the hybrid is a great alternative for irons.
- 🏌️♂️【High-Quality and Accurate Putter】 - The precise putter with zinc alloy head is designed with anti-slip striking surface, which ensures higher forgiveness and more stable hitting. In addition, the alignment line provides more smooth and accurate stroke.
- 🏌️♂️【Premium Shafts and Grips】 - The ultra-light carbon shaft makes swinging easier, while the anti-slip grip ensures a more secure hold for enhanced comfort.
What R&A TV offered
R&A TV was an additional official online option featuring Featured Groups, a dedicated Par-3 Channel and Live at the Range with HSBC. It was not guaranteed to replace the local rights-holder broadcast in every country. Regional restrictions still applied, so the local broadcaster remained the safest starting point for viewers outside the U.S.
Why the schedule contained overlapping listings
The R&A schedule showed simultaneous NBC and Peacock listings because the services carried different forms of coverage at the same time: the main presentation, featured groups, alternate hole feeds and interactive streams. The overlap was not necessarily a scheduling error. It reflected the fact that viewers could choose between the television broadcast and several digital views of the same round.

Was there a free stream?
There was no single, guaranteed worldwide free stream. R&A TV carried selected online coverage, while U.S. viewers were directed to Peacock and the NBC Sports App. Access varied according to territory, rights restrictions and the viewer’s service arrangement. Avoid assuming that a stream available in one country would work in another.

The Bottom Line
For U.S. viewers, the main 2025 Open coverage was on NBC, with Golf Channel providing preview and repeat programming and Peacock supplying the broadest selection of digital feeds. Outside the U.S., viewers needed to use their territory’s rights holder, such as Sky Sports in the U.K. and Ireland or TSN/RDS in Canada. Because the event is over, this page is a historical viewing guide rather than a current broadcast schedule.
