This is an archived viewing guide. The men’s 2024 Genesis Scottish Open was played from Thursday, July 11, through Sunday, July 14, 2024, at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. The tournament is over, so the live windows and 2024 streaming availability described here should not be treated as current listings.
In the United States, the main television coverage was split between Golf Channel and CBS. Peacock streamed the Golf Channel coverage, Paramount+ streamed the CBS weekend windows, and PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ provided earlier coverage, featured groups and a featured-hole feed. No single U.S. streaming service carried every part of the published coverage.

What each U.S. service carried
The services were complementary rather than interchangeable. A subscription to one platform did not automatically provide all of the tournament’s broadcast and PGA TOUR LIVE feeds.
| Service or outlet | Coverage | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| Golf Channel | The conventional U.S. television broadcast: both weekday windows and the first two hours of Saturday and Sunday coverage. | Viewers with a pay-TV package that included Golf Channel. |
| Peacock | A simulcast of the Golf Channel coverage: 10:30 a.m.–2 p.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m.–noon ET on Saturday and Sunday. | Cord-cutters who wanted the standard Golf Channel presentation. |
| CBS | The later weekend television blocks, noon–3 p.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday. | Viewers watching the network’s weekend coverage. |
| Paramount+ | A stream of the CBS coverage on Saturday and Sunday from noon–3 p.m. ET. | Viewers who wanted the CBS portion without a traditional television set-up. |
| PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ | Early coverage, featured groups, additional feeds and featured-hole coverage. It was not simply the Golf Channel broadcast under a different app. | Fans who wanted the earliest available U.S. coverage and more player-specific options. |
NBC Sports also listed NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app among its digital outlets. Access to authenticated network streams depended on the viewer’s television provider and the relevant account permissions.
The earliest and widest U.S. coverage: PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+
For viewers asking when coverage began, the answer depends on whether they mean the main television broadcast or the additional PGA TOUR LIVE feeds:
- Thursday and Friday: PGA TOUR LIVE began at 3:15 a.m. ET.
- Saturday and Sunday: PGA TOUR LIVE began at 4:15 a.m. ET.
ESPN’s official release described two feeds on Thursday and Friday. One followed two featured groups. The other followed a featured group and included bonus coverage of the par-3 17th hole. Replays were available after the live windows.

The early start times were confirmed by ESPN; the end times should be treated as published estimates rather than a guarantee that a feed would end exactly at those times.
Featured groups and players
ESPN announced featured coverage involving many of the tournament’s prominent players, including:
- Robert MacIntyre, Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland
- Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark and Tommy Fleetwood
- Ludvig Åberg, Hideki Matsuyama and Collin Morikawa
- Matt Fitzpatrick, Jordan Spieth and Ewen Ferguson
- Matthieu Pavon, Max Homa and Tom Kim
- Justin Thomas, Nicolai Højgaard and Ryan Fox
These were not permanent groups available continuously throughout the tournament. Pairings and feed assignments changed by day, so the dated ESPN schedule was the appropriate reference for a particular round.

Which option was best for each type of U.S. viewer?
If you had cable or satellite TV
- Watch Thursday and Friday on Golf Channel from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET.
- Watch Golf Channel from 10 a.m. to noon ET on Saturday and Sunday.
- Switch to CBS at noon ET for the weekend’s later coverage through 3 p.m.
- Use authenticated NBC Sports, Golf Channel or CBS digital access when away from the television, if included with the provider package.
This was the simplest way to follow the conventional U.S. broadcast. It did not necessarily include the early PGA TOUR LIVE feeds on ESPN+.
If you were a cord-cutter interested only in televised coverage
Peacock covered the Golf Channel windows, while Paramount+ covered the CBS windows. A viewer using only Peacock would miss the CBS blocks on Saturday and Sunday; a viewer using only Paramount+ would miss Thursday and Friday, the first two weekend hours and the Golf Channel presentation.
If you wanted the earliest tee times and featured groups
ESPN+ was the key service because PGA TOUR LIVE began several hours before the main U.S. television coverage. It offered additional player-focused feeds and the featured-hole option, but it was not a substitute for Peacock’s Golf Channel simulcast or Paramount+’s CBS stream.
If you wanted the most complete U.S. package
The practical combination was:
- ESPN+ for the early and featured PGA TOUR LIVE coverage.
- Peacock for the Golf Channel simulcast.
- Paramount+ for the CBS weekend window.
That combination covered the major published U.S. components, but the phrase all the golf should not be read as a promise that every shot by every player was shown continuously. PGA TOUR LIVE’s additional feeds were the broadest way to supplement the main broadcast.
How the schedule translated to Scotland and the UK
Sky Sports carried the Genesis Scottish Open in the UK, with streaming promoted through NOW. Sky’s published information advertised featured-group coverage from 8:30 a.m. UK time on Thursday, followed by full coverage from 1 p.m. Sky’s UK programming was its own schedule and should not be confused with the U.S. Golf Channel start time.

Thus, the U.S. Thursday and Friday Golf Channel window of 10:30 a.m.–2 p.m. ET corresponded to 3:30–7 p.m. BST. The Saturday and Sunday U.S. television schedule corresponded to 3–8 p.m. BST. Those conversions do not replace the local Sky Sports listing, which offered earlier UK programming.

Watching from outside the U.S. or UK
International golf rights were territory-specific. ESPN said PGA TOUR programming was distributed through 44 broadcast and digital partners in more than 200 countries and territories, but that broad distribution statement did not establish the exact 2024 Genesis Scottish Open channel in every country.
If you were watching from Canada, Australia, Ireland, Asia or another territory, the responsible approach was to check the local listings from the PGA TOUR event page, the DP World Tour or the broadcaster serving your country. Neighboring countries could have different rights, blackout rules and streaming services. The U.S. Peacock, Paramount+ and ESPN+ schedule should not be assumed to apply internationally.
There is also no reliable basis for claiming one universal service for the UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada and all of Asia. A country-specific broadcaster listing was necessary, particularly because archived 2024 rights may no longer match a platform’s current catalogue.
VPNs, travel and location restrictions
A traveler sometimes used a VPN to try to connect to a streaming service from their usual country, but a VPN was never a guaranteed solution. Services may detect and block VPN traffic, and using one may conflict with a provider’s terms of service. A subscription alone might not be enough if the account required a local payment method, billing address, app-store account or other regional qualification.
The safest option was to use an authorized broadcaster available in the viewer’s actual location. If traveling, check the streaming provider’s rules before relying on a home-country subscription. Because this is now an archival 2024 guide, any claim that the original live feeds can still be accessed from anywhere in 2026 would be unreliable.
What tournament was this?
The title Scottish Open 2024 can refer to more than one sporting event. This article concerns the men’s 2024 Genesis Scottish Open, a professional stroke-play tournament co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour. It was held at The Renaissance Club in North Berwick from July 11–14, 2024.

It was not:
- The 2024 BetVictor Scottish Open in snooker, which was held in December.
- The 2024 ISPS HANDA Women’s Scottish Open, which was held in August.
Those events had different dates, fields and broadcast arrangements. The RadioTimes snooker listing and the LPGA’s Women’s Scottish Open information help distinguish them from the Genesis Scottish Open.

Brief tournament context and result
Rory McIlroy entered as the defending champion. The event carried a $9 million purse, awarded 500 FedExCup points to the winner and was played over 72 holes of stroke play.
Robert MacIntyre won the tournament with a total of 262, finishing at 18 under par. Adam Scott was runner-up at 263, or 17 under. The official PGA TOUR event page contains the event record and leaderboard, while the official final-round notes provide the final-round details.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Replays, highlights and the archived event record
The original live windows should not be presented as permanently available. For historical information, start with the official PGA TOUR event page, which retains tournament information, results, leaderboard material and related event details. Official highlights may also remain available through broadcaster channels; one published Golf Channel highlight is available on YouTube. Availability of individual videos can change by territory and over time.
Troubleshooting a 2024 viewing link
If an archived event page or replay does not appear, use this checklist:
- Confirm that you are signed into the correct account and subscription.
- Check whether the content is available in your current territory.
- Verify that your device and app are supported by the provider.
- Refresh the event page, restart the app or try the broadcaster’s official website.
- Check the broadcaster’s own schedule instead of relying on an old search-engine result.
- If traveling, confirm whether the account and subscription permit access outside the home country.
- Do not substitute unofficial streams or unauthorized IPTV services for an official replay.
App names, menus and rights packages can change, so this guide deliberately does not promise a particular 2024 menu path inside ESPN+, Peacock, Paramount+ or NBC Sports.
Why some 2024 schedule pages were misleading
Some generic pages published under similar titles listed the men’s event as running July 12–15 and claimed that U.S. Golf Channel coverage began at 7 a.m. ET. Those details were wrong: the official tournament dates were July 11–14, and the published U.S. Golf Channel start was 10:30 a.m. ET on Thursday and Friday.
Such pages also tended to describe a single app as the complete solution, overlooking the split among Peacock, Paramount+ and ESPN+. For this event, the early PGA TOUR LIVE feeds were particularly important because they began hours before the main television coverage. The inaccurate generic listing is therefore not a reliable schedule source.

Even stronger golf coverage had different purposes: Golf Channel’s guide provided the clearest day-by-day U.S. TV schedule but combined several events; Golf Digest added PGA TOUR LIVE and World Feed information; Golf.com explained the streaming split; and ESPN’s release supplied the most useful featured-group details.
Frequently Asked Questions
Did CBS carry the entire 2024 Genesis Scottish Open?
No. CBS carried only the later portions of the third and final rounds: noon–3 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14. Golf Channel carried the preceding 10 a.m.–noon blocks, with Peacock simulcasting those Golf Channel windows and Paramount+ streaming the CBS windows.
Could one streaming service show all of the U.S. coverage?
No single service carried every major component. ESPN+ was needed for the earliest PGA TOUR LIVE and featured coverage, Peacock carried the Golf Channel simulcast, and Paramount+ carried the CBS weekend coverage. The services were complementary.
Was ESPN+ showing the same broadcast as Golf Channel?
Not exactly. ESPN+ carried PGA TOUR LIVE feeds with early coverage, featured groups and a featured-hole feed. Peacock carried the conventional Golf Channel simulcast, while Paramount+ carried the CBS weekend window.

Can I still watch the 2024 tournament live?

The Bottom Line
Bottom line
The correct U.S. schedule for the men’s 2024 Genesis Scottish Open was Golf Channel from 10:30 a.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, then Golf Channel from 10 a.m. followed by CBS at noon on Saturday and Sunday. Peacock streamed Golf Channel, Paramount+ streamed CBS, and ESPN+ PGA TOUR LIVE began as early as 3:15 a.m. ET on the first two days and 4:15 a.m. ET on the weekend. For UK viewers, Sky Sports and NOW offered a separate local presentation. Since the event is now historical, use the official PGA TOUR event page and authorized replay or highlight sources rather than assuming the original live streams remain active.
