Hulu currently offers a three-day free trial of its ad-supported Hulu + Live TV plan to new and eligible returning subscribers in the United States. If you do not cancel during the trial, the subscription continues at the advertised price of $89.99 per month, subject to Hulu’s current terms and any applicable changes.
This is a short trial for a full live-television bundle—not simply a preview of Hulu’s on-demand library. It includes Hulu with ads, Disney+ with ads, ESPN Select through the separate ESPN app, more than 100 advertised live channels, and unlimited DVR. Before signing up, check your ZIP-code-specific channel lineup and confirm that your television or streaming device is supported.
What does the Hulu + Live TV free trial include?
The current three-day offer applies to the ordinary, ad-supported Hulu + Live TV plan. During the trial, the package includes:
- Hulu’s on-demand library with advertising.
- More than 100 live channels, including categories such as news, sports, entertainment, and local programming, where available.
- Disney+ with ads.
- ESPN Select and additional ESPN programming through the separate ESPN app.
- Unlimited DVR at no additional cost.
Hulu says live-TV recordings can be stored for up to nine months and that recorded content can be fast-forwarded. “Unlimited DVR” does not mean that every on-demand program can be recorded; it applies to the live-TV recording feature.

The bundle is therefore most useful for someone who wants to evaluate several services at once: a conventional live-channel package, Hulu’s streaming library, Disney+, ESPN content, and cloud DVR functionality.
How much does Hulu + Live TV cost after the trial?
Hulu currently advertises the ad-supported Hulu + Live TV plan at $89.99 per month after the three-day trial. The subscription continues at that price unless you cancel, although prices, features, content, and terms can change.
Hulu’s plan comparison also lists Premium + Live TV at $99.99 per month. That is a different plan, and the current comparison does not show a free trial for it. Do not assume that starting the ordinary Hulu + Live TV trial gives you a trial of the Premium plan or that upgrading preserves the same offer.
Important: Three days is the entire advertised free period. This is not a 7-day, 30-day, or “free for a month” promotion. If you let the trial roll into a paid month, the advertised charge is $89.99 before any applicable taxes or later pricing changes.
Who is eligible?
Hulu describes the offer as available to new and eligible returning subscribers. Having used Hulu in the past does not automatically mean that you qualify again. Eligibility may depend on your account’s previous subscription history and the promotion Hulu presents when you enroll.
The offer is described for U.S. residents age 18 or older in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. It is not generally presented as an international offer.

Hulu also says the promotion:
- Cannot be combined with another Hulu + Live TV free trial.
- Cannot be combined with other promotional pricing.
- Cannot be redeemed through a gift card.
The enrollment screen and your confirmation details are the safest places to verify the offer attached to your particular account. Promotional availability can change.
Does Hulu + Live TV include every channel in my area?
No. Hulu does not provide one identical channel lineup to every subscriber. Local, regional, and national channels can vary by location, and Hulu directs prospective customers to enter their home ZIP code to view the lineup available in their market.

A network shown in Hulu’s general marketing material is not a guarantee that the same channel is available in every ZIP code.
Check the lineup before subscribing
- Open Hulu’s Live TV plan or channel-lineup page.
- Use the ZIP-code lookup tool.
- Search for the exact local station, sports network, news channel, or entertainment network you need.
- Check the lineup again during enrollment if Hulu displays a market-specific confirmation.
Hulu warns that programming is subject to regional restrictions and blackouts. Channel availability can also vary by device and may change over time.
What sports can you watch during the trial?
Hulu advertises live sports from competitions and leagues including the NCAA, NBA, NHL, NFL, and English Premier League. Its live-TV package may also carry college-football and NFL programming through networks such as ESPN, ABC, BTN, FOX, FS1, CBS, ACC Network, SEC Network, and NFL Network, subject to regional availability and blackout rules.
That makes the trial potentially valuable for testing a particular sports package, but it is not a guarantee that every game or event will be available. National exclusivity, local broadcast rights, regional sports rights, and blackouts can all affect what you can watch. Check the channel lineup and the listing for the specific event rather than relying only on the league or network name.

What devices work with Hulu + Live TV?
Hulu says you need an active subscription, a supported device, and a high-speed internet connection. Supported platforms listed by Hulu include:
- Web browsers on Mac and PC.
- iPhone and iPad.
- Android phones and tablets.
- Apple TV and Chromecast.
- Fire TV and Fire TV Stick.
- Roku devices.
- Select Samsung and LG televisions.
- Nintendo Switch.
- Xbox and PlayStation 4 and 5.
- Android TV and Vizio devices.
Compatibility is not necessarily identical across every model or operating-system version. If your television does not support Hulu, a current compatible streaming device may be the simplest way to watch on the big screen.
What device do you need?
Hulu lists Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV, and other platforms as supported options. For a television without a supported built-in app, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is one example of a compatible streaming device. Amazon’s Fire TV documentation identifies Hulu as an available entertainment app. Check the current model and Hulu’s compatibility information before buying, because a device does not extend the free trial, lower the subscription price, or guarantee eligibility.

Live television depends on local broadcast rights and regional programming. Hulu therefore requires location information for certain Live TV content and uses a home-network system for Live TV subscribers.
Hulu provides separate help guidance for setting, checking, and troubleshooting a Live TV home network, as well as enabling location services. If local channels or live programming do not appear as expected, check that location permissions are enabled and that the service recognizes the correct home network. Location and home-network rules can limit how and where Live TV is used.
How many people can watch at once?
The standard Hulu + Live TV plan supports two simultaneous screens. Hulu offers an Unlimited Screens add-on for more simultaneous viewing at home; the add-on provides three screens on the go, subject to Hulu’s restrictions and current terms.

If multiple people in your household plan to watch different live programs at the same time, two-screen support may be sufficient—or it may be a limitation worth considering before the trial ends.
How to use the three-day trial without being surprised by a charge
- Check eligibility first. Confirm that the enrollment page actually presents the three-day Hulu + Live TV offer for your account.
- Verify your ZIP-code lineup. Make sure the local station, sports network, or news channel you care about is available in your market.
- Confirm the plan name and price. Check that you are enrolling in ad-supported Hulu + Live TV and note the displayed post-trial price of $89.99 per month.
- Test your intended device immediately. Sign in on the television, streaming player, phone, or browser you plan to use. Do not wait until the final hours of a three-day trial to discover an app or compatibility problem.
- Test the content that motivated the subscription. Try a local channel, a live news broadcast, a sports channel, or a DVR recording—not merely an on-demand Hulu show.
- Record the renewal date. Save the confirmation email and note the date shown in your account. Hulu’s public offer copy confirms the three-day duration and renewal price but does not establish one universal cancellation cutoff hour for every subscriber.
- Cancel through the appropriate account channel if you do not want to continue. Use the Hulu account or subscription-management route identified in your confirmation and account settings. If you subscribed through a third party, that provider’s billing rules may apply.
Hulu says subscribers can cancel anytime, but cancellation remains subject to its billing and cancellation rules. Keep the confirmation or cancellation record until you are satisfied that the subscription will not renew.

It can be worthwhile if you need a combination of live sports, local channels, Disney+, ESPN content, Hulu’s library, and DVR. The trial gives you a brief opportunity to check whether those pieces work together in your market and on your equipment.
It is less compelling if you only want Hulu’s on-demand programming, already have reliable access to the sports or local channels you need elsewhere, or cannot use the service on your preferred television. At $89.99 per month after the trial, the bundle should be judged against the specific channels and services you will actually use—not against the headline number of channels alone.
