When does The Apothecary Diaries Season 3 come out?
Season 3 premiered in Japan on October 2, 2026, according to Square Enix’s October 2 update. The official anime portal announced a split two-cour schedule: the first cour is set for October 2026, and the second for April 2027. That means the season is not planned as one uninterrupted broadcast run.
What is the Season 3 story about?
The official announcement says the story moves beyond the rear palace into the wider city. It teases signs of disaster, a mysterious shrine maiden, and new responsibilities for Jinshi as the emperor’s younger brother. This is a promotional outline, not a detailed episode synopsis. The official anime portal has the announcement.
When does The Apothecary Diaries movie release?
The franchise’s first theatrical film is scheduled for December 2026. Crunchyroll News reports that it opens in Japan on December 11, 2026. That date is for Japan; it should not be treated as a global release date. The official trailer says the film is coming to theaters worldwide, but territory-by-territory dates have not been provided in the sources available. Crunchyroll News’ July 2 report gives the Japan date.
