WWE bills Giant Gonzales at 8 feet, while The SmackDown Hotel’s multi-promotion list gives him 7 feet 7 inches—the same listed height as Paul Bunyan, also known as Max Palmer. The figures below are billed or compiled heights, not measurements made under one shared standard, and the names are a notable roundup rather than a definitive global ranking.
How tall are the tallest wrestlers?
The SmackDown Hotel’s Top 50 Tallest Wrestlers of All Time spans WWE, WCW, ECW, AEW, TNA and other promotions. Its ranking places Giant González and Paul Bunyan/Max Palmer at 7 feet 7 inches. WWE, by contrast, bills Giant Gonzales at 8 feet and calls him “the tallest Superstar in WWE history.” That is WWE’s promotional description, not a measurement standard that resolves the discrepancy.
| Wrestler | Height in The SmackDown Hotel list | WWE billed height |
|---|---|---|
| Giant González / Giant Gonzales | 7 ft 7 in | 8 ft, according to WWE’s profile |
| Paul Bunyan / Max Palmer | 7 ft 7 in | not stated in the cited WWE profile; no comparable WWE figure established |
| Silo Sam | 7 ft 5 in | not stated |
| Canadian Giant / Garry Robbins | 7 ft 5 in | not stated |
| Andre the Giant | 7 ft 4 in | 7 ft 4 in, according to WWE’s profile |
| Omos | 7 ft 3 in | 7 ft 3 in, according to WWE’s profile |
| Satnam Singh | 7 ft 3 in | not stated |
| The Great Khali | 7 ft 1 in | not stated |
| Big Show / Paul Wight | 7 ft | not stated |
Except where a WWE profile is specifically named, the figures in the ranking column are The SmackDown Hotel’s listed heights. The compilation is useful for comparing names across promotions, but it is not an independently verified dataset measured under one protocol. WWE’s profiles give Andre and Omos the same figures as the compiled list; that agreement does not settle the different Giant Gonzales figures.
Where are the tallest wrestlers now?
Andre the Giant
Andre the Giant died in his sleep in Paris on January 28, 1993, according to WWE. His story is therefore one of legacy, not present-day activity. WWE says he was the first inductee into its Hall of Fame in 1994. His career reached beyond wrestling as well: he became a widely recognized cultural figure, making his name familiar even to people who did not follow the sport.

There is no universally accepted, independently verified record standard in the sources cited here for comparing every wrestler across every era and promotion. A WWE profile’s billed height and a multi-promotion list’s entry are different kinds of claims; neither should be mistaken for a measurement taken alongside all the others under identical conditions. The result is best read as a source-attributed roundup, not a final scientific ranking or a complete account of every wrestling tradition.
