Her path ran from Smoky Mountain Wrestling to a prominent WWE role with the Bodydonnas, then through other tag teams, a later run with Legion of Doom 2000, and appearances for ECW and WCW. The dated milestones below offer a photo-led guide to that career; WWE’s profile and retrospective contain career images, but their pages do not grant general reuse rights, so confirm licensing before reproducing any photographs.
Early 1990s: A start in Smoky Mountain Wrestling
From Tennessee to ringside
WWE’s official biography says Sytch followed Chris Candido to Tennessee as he began working for Smoky Mountain Wrestling (SMW). She started university there and, after Jim Cornette persuaded her to work for the promotion, began her wrestling career as a manager. For an early-career image, WWE’s profile is a useful reference point, subject to image licensing.
1995: Joining WWE
Correspondent, then manager
WWE says Sytch signed with the company in 1995. She initially worked as a broadcast correspondent before returning to a ringside role, managing Candido, who performed as Skip. That shift—from television work to managing a team—became the foundation of her best-known WWE period.
1996: The Bodydonnas and a breakout year
WrestleMania XII tag team champions
Sunny managed Skip and Zip in the Bodydonnas. WWE records that the team won the World Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania XII in 1996. The match and the group’s presentation are natural focal points for a career-photo sequence; WWE’s retrospective includes career images and interview context.

Popularity claims, with attribution
WWE’s biography says Sunny’s RAW Magazine bikini issue sold a record number of copies, without providing a sales total. It also says AOL deemed her the most downloaded woman in the world in 1996. Those are WWE’s published claims; no original AOL record or independently verified sales figure is established here, so neither should be presented as an independently audited statistic.
WWE also says Sunny won two Slammy Awards. These milestones help explain how her visibility extended beyond ringside, but the records and claims should be attributed to WWE rather than treated as outside verification.

After the Bodydonnas: More championship teams
The Smokin’ Gunns and the Godwinns
WWE says Sunny later managed the Smokin’ Gunns and the Godwinns, both of whom went on to win World Tag Team Championships. The progression shows that her role was not confined to one act: WWE placed her with multiple teams during its tag-team storylines.
Introducing Faarooq
WWE’s biography also credits Sunny with introducing Ron Simmons as Faarooq. This is another milestone worth including in a visual chronology, distinct from her work managing tag teams.

1998: Legion of Doom 2000
A final major WWE run
WWE identifies Sunny’s work with Legion of Doom 2000 as her last major run with the promotion. She accompanied Hawk and Animal at WrestleMania XIV in 1998. For a photo timeline, this provides a clear late-WWE marker after her Bodydonnas and other tag-team chapters.
After WWE: ECW and WCW
WWE’s biography says Sytch went on to work for Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). The cited profile establishes those later promotions, but does not give a detailed dated itinerary for her appearances there.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How Sunny described her role—and the “first Diva” debate
Sytch described her idea of a Diva as an all-around performer, not only a ringside manager. In a WWE.com interview, she said: “My definition of a Diva is that all-around, well-rounded performer.” She also described managing, wrestling, co-hosting television shows, and broadcasting as parts of her work, and said she was “the first one to do it all.” That last statement is Sytch’s own view, not an uncontested historical conclusion.

WWE’s retrospective frames whether Sunny was WWE history’s “first Diva” as a debated question. It also recalls her Bodydonnas period and characterizes her popularity among wrestling fans as enduring. A photo-led account can capture her range while leaving the disputed label attributed rather than declaring a definitive first.
