One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchStreamlabs has announced changes to specific tools—not a shutdown of Streamlabs as a whole. Its notices cover several branding tools, Streamlabs Music, Link Space, Collectibles, and six selected widgets. As of October 3, 2026, every cutoff or sunset date in those notices has passed, but a scheduled sunset is not by itself confirmation of each tool’s current availability.
Is Streamlabs shutting down?
No. The announcements concern individual products and features. Streamlabs’ FAQ and getting-started materials describe other offerings, including Desktop, Mobile, video and clip editors, alerts, tipping, and widgets. That does not confirm the current status of every feature, but the notices covered here do not announce a company-wide shutdown.
The dates matter: an announced cutoff may have passed, while a notice alone may not establish what a particular account can access today. The safest approach is to identify the exact tool, check its notice, and preserve or export anything the notice says may be affected.
Which Streamlabs tools were affected?
| Tool or feature | What Streamlabs announced | What creators should know |
|---|---|---|
| Branding tools | Discontinuation announced June 2024 | YouTube Thumbnails, Emote Maker, Logo Maker, Intro Maker, and Social Reminders |
| Streamlabs Music | Removed from the Desktop app store March 6, 2025; use by existing users ended after March 2025 | Past recordings and YouTube uploads using music from the app were described as remaining DMCA-free |
| Link Space | Inaccessible after November 8, 2025 | The announced 30-day period to export or preserve links and useful analytics has passed |
| Collectibles | New claims stopped December 18, 2025 | Streamlabs said previously bought or claimed items would remain in users’ inventory and could still be installed in Desktop scenes |
| Selected widgets | Scheduled to sunset April 12, 2026 | The notice names six widget types; it does not say that all Streamlabs widgets were being removed |
Branding tools: what was named in the 2024 notice?
In June 2024, Streamlabs announced the discontinuation of five tools: YouTube Thumbnails, Emote Maker, Logo Maker, Intro Maker, and Social Reminders. These covered thumbnail creation, channel graphics, video intros, and social reminders; their inclusion in the announcement should not be read as a notice that Streamlabs’ core broadcasting software was ending.

At the time, Streamlabs named Fiverr for commissioned customization work such as stream graphics, logos, social media, and video editing. The announcement also mentioned a first-order discount code, but that was a historical offer from 2024 and is not evidence of a currently available deal. If you need a designer or editor now, check the provider’s current services and terms directly.
Streamlabs Music: what happened and what about old uploads?
Streamlabs says it removed the Streamlabs Music app from the Streamlabs Desktop app store on March 6, 2025. Existing users could use it through the end of March; it then stopped working. Those cutoff dates have passed, so creators should not plan on using the app as an active music source.
Streamlabs named Pretzel and Slip.Stream as alternatives available through its ecosystem. Its notice described free and premium options for Pretzel and directed Ultra subscribers to Slip.Stream’s full collection. Music catalogs, account access, subscription requirements, and licensing terms can change, so confirm current availability and rights with the service before using a track in a stream, recording, or upload.

Streamlabs also said that past recordings and YouTube uploads containing music used from Streamlabs Music remain DMCA-free. That statement concerns material made with that app; it is not a blanket guarantee about other music, other services, or a creator’s use of a track outside the applicable terms.

Streamlabs announced in October 2025 that Link Space would become inaccessible after November 8, 2025. It gave users 30 days to export or otherwise preserve links and useful analytics. That announced window is over, so do not assume that a Link Space page or its analytics can still be retrieved.
Streamlabs suggested moving to another bio-link service or placing social links on a Streamlabs Tip Page. The notice did not name a specific third-party replacement. For any new link hub, check whether it supports the links, analytics, and export options you need before moving your audience there.

Collectibles: what Streamlabs said about existing items
Streamlabs’ December 2025 notice said its Collectibles library stopped accepting new claims on December 18, 2025. It also said items already bought or claimed would remain accessible in a user’s inventory and could still be installed into Desktop scenes. The available notice supports those points only; it does not establish broader details about future support or access policies.
Which widgets were scheduled to sunset in April 2026?
In March 2026, Streamlabs scheduled six widget types to sunset on April 12, 2026:
- Game Widget
- Twitch Charity Donation Goal
- Facebook Supporter Goal
- Facebook Stars Goal
- Facebook Shares Goal
- Plarium Goal
The date has passed. Because the notice describes a scheduled sunset, rather than establishing the present state of every account or widget, check the relevant Streamlabs dashboard if you need to know what remains accessible now.

What alternatives did Streamlabs name?
For goal widgets, Streamlabs listed Tip, Follower, Sub, Bits, Super Chat, Streamlabs Charity Donation, and Tiltify Donation goal widgets as continuing options in its notice. Match the replacement to the platform and the event you want to track; for example, a Twitch Bits Goal is a Twitch-oriented alternative when the original use case was tied to Twitch engagement or contributions.
For Twitch creators who used Game Widget for engagement, Streamlabs suggested its Twitch Extension, which it described as offering mini-games, loyalty points, polls, and more. The extension is a different kind of tool from a goal widget, so confirm that its features suit the interaction you want rather than assuming it reproduces the old widget exactly.

Trovo’s live-streaming features shut down on June 30, 2026 at 00:00 GMT+8, according to a Streamlabs preparation article. That was a shutdown of Trovo’s service, not a Streamlabs product discontinuation. Streamlabs advised affected users to secure access with a Streamlabs ID, download VODs, and direct viewers to other platforms.

The article said Trovo accounts, mini-game data, levels, and friend lists were to be retained. It also said VODs and chat history would be deleted after a legally mandated retention period, without giving a precise deletion date. Do not infer a specific deadline from that wording.
How to handle a discontinued tool without losing useful work
- Identify the exact product and platform. A Link Space page, a Streamlabs Desktop widget, and a Trovo channel are different things with different changes and dates.
- Separate past deadlines from current access. The Link Space export window and the Music cutoff have passed; the widget notice announced a date, but a current account check is needed to establish present availability.
- Preserve what matters where possible. Save copies of branding assets, links, analytics, recordings, or VODs before access changes. Where a stated export window has already passed, check the service directly rather than assuming recovery is possible.
- Choose a replacement by function. A commissioned designer can replace a logo-making workflow; a licensed music service can replace a music source; a goal widget or extension can address a particular on-stream interaction. These are not interchangeable categories.
- Recheck current terms and platform fit. Confirm that a replacement is available, supports the destinations you use, and grants the rights needed for live streams and archived uploads.
A separate option for continuous prerecorded YouTube streams
StreamNeo is not a replacement for Streamlabs branding tools, Link Space, music, Collectibles, or widgets. It addresses a different need: keeping a YouTube channel live around the clock from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded video from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on. It supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream.
The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo or start the free day if continuous prerecorded YouTube streaming is the separate problem you need to solve.
