Streamlabs Pro for Viewers costs $5.99 per month and is mainly for viewers who tip through eligible Streamlabs pages and want custom GIF or effect alerts to stand out. It also includes priority alert placement and 10% off purchases at Streamlabs Merch stores. Whether it is worth paying for depends on how often you can use those benefits—not on whether you need Streamlabs streaming software.
What Streamlabs Pro is—and who it is for
Streamlabs calls this membership “Pro for Viewers.” It is a viewer-side subscription associated with tipping through Streamlabs and shopping at Streamlabs Merch stores. It is not the same product as Streamlabs Ultra, and it is not required to use Streamlabs’ free streaming tools or to tip a creator.
Streamlabs’ FAQ says its free tools include streaming and recording features, widgets, overlays, alerts, a tip page, and Cloudbot moderation. Ultra is described as a premium bundle across Streamlabs products. Pro for Viewers is the separate membership for tip-alert customization and merch discounts.

Custom GIF and effect tip alerts
When you tip through an eligible Streamlabs tip page, Pro lets you use a personalized GIF and effect with your alert. Streamlabs also says Pro alerts jump to the top of the alert queue and play ahead of others.

These features are conditional: the creator you tip must have Pro features enabled, be live, and have Alert Box added to the stream. If any of those conditions is missing, your custom or priority alert may not appear. The creator’s tip page needs to offer the relevant Pro options for you to enable them.
10% off Streamlabs Merch stores
Pro includes a 10% discount on purchases from Streamlabs Merch stores. Streamlabs says it covers the discount so the creator’s profit is not affected. The practical value depends on whether you shop at covered stores and make purchases eligible for the discount.

Tips and processing fees
Streamlabs says it takes no cut of tips: the creator receives the tip minus third-party processing fees. A Pro membership does not change the amount the creator receives from your tip; the subscription charge is displayed separately from the tip at checkout.
Streamlabs Pro pricing
Streamlabs Support lists Pro for Viewers at $5.99 per month. The subscription is recurring monthly, so compare its ongoing charge with benefits you expect to use rather than treating a single tip or merch purchase as the whole calculation. How to start, manage, or cancel a membership
Starting Pro
- Open a creator’s Streamlabs tip page and look for the Pro GIF or effect options. If they are absent, that creator may not have Pro features enabled; try another eligible tip page.
- Choose the GIF or effect you want and follow the checkout flow. Streamlabs says the tip amount is shown separately from the Pro subscription charge.
- Confirm the monthly membership charge to enable the Pro feature.
Canceling
Streamlabs says subscribers can cancel from the Dashboard profile menu by opening Memberships. It also describes a route through a tip page’s Pro Settings. Check the current account interface if labels or placement have changed.
Refunds
Streamlabs Support states that canceling within the first 72 hours triggers an automatic refund. It also describes a 30-day money-back guarantee; if the automatic-refund window has passed, submit a support ticket. Streamlabs estimates that most refunds take 3–7 business days to appear. These are Streamlabs’ stated terms, not a guarantee that every payment provider will display a refund on the same schedule; confirm the live support policy before subscribing.

Is Streamlabs Pro worth it?
There is no universal break-even point: the value of custom alerts is personal, and the sources do not establish typical viewer spending or average merch savings. A practical decision is to weigh your own expected use against the monthly charge.
- It may be worthwhile if you tip through Streamlabs regularly, care about a personalized public alert and its priority, and often support creators whose streams meet the Pro, live, and Alert Box conditions.
- It may be worthwhile if you already buy from Streamlabs Merch stores and expect to use the 10% discount on eligible purchases.
- It is less compelling if you tip rarely, do not care about alert customization, do not shop at covered merch stores, or usually tip creators who do not enable the required features.
- You do not need it for Streamlabs creator tools. Streamlabs describes free tools separately, while Ultra is its distinct multi-product premium bundle.
