If your Streamlabs Mobile broadcast appears live but YouTube is not receiving it, check Disconnect Protection first: Streamlabs documents a specific false-live issue with that feature and says to turn it off or enable Multistream on Streamlabs.com. If YouTube did receive the broadcast and it then stopped, check the connection and phone load instead. Confirm the stream’s status on YouTube, not just the timer in Streamlabs.
First, check whether YouTube is actually live
Open your channel or YouTube Studio and check whether the broadcast appears live. Streamlabs has documented a case where its Android app can show a live timer, FPS and bitrate, and a Stop control even though the destination platform is not live. The reported issue involved Disconnect Protection failing to connect to Streamlabs servers. Streamlabs reported the issue on November 1, 2025, and its support article, dated January 17, 2026, lists workarounds: Streamlabs: App Looks Live But Isn’t Live on Platform.
- Streamlabs says live; YouTube does not: follow the Disconnect Protection steps below.
- YouTube showed the broadcast live, then it ended: check the network and phone load. The documented false-live issue does not explain every genuine mid-stream interruption.
If Streamlabs looks live but YouTube does not
Turn off Disconnect Protection
- In Streamlabs Mobile, open the menu in the top-left corner.
- Choose Disconnect Protection.
- Turn the feature off, then check YouTube again when you start another broadcast.
Streamlabs also lists enabling Multistream on Streamlabs.com as a workaround if you want to keep Disconnect Protection enabled. Check the current app and account options, since feature availability can change.
If the YouTube broadcast really stopped
1. Reconnect to a stable network
Check whether your phone still has a working internet connection. Reconnect to a stable available network and see whether the problem changes on a later attempt. Streamlabs describes Network Boost as using multiple internet connections to support mobile reliability; it is an Ultra feature, not a guaranteed fix. Confirm current plan entitlements in the app.

2. Close other apps
Close open apps before trying again. Streamlabs’ mobile guide recommends this to reduce potential lag or crashes: Streamlabs Mobile live-streaming guide.
3. Check the channel only if you cannot start
YouTube’s mobile live-stream requirements concern eligibility and starting a broadcast, not a universal cause of an established stream dropping. YouTube’s current mobile help page lists these requirements:

- The channel must be verified and live streaming must be enabled.
- The channel must have no live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days.
- Mobile live streaming requires at least 50 subscribers.
- The device must run Android 8.0 or later.
- When live streaming is enabled for the first time, activation can take up to 24 hours.

- Streamlabs app version and Android version
- Phone model and the time the interruption happened
- Whether YouTube Studio showed the stream as live
- Whether you were on Wi-Fi or mobile data
- What the Streamlabs screen showed, including its status and any error message
There is no published failure rate for this problem in the cited guidance, and the documented Disconnect Protection issue is only one possible explanation. Current app behavior, YouTube requirements and feature entitlements may change.
