It is not verified as an official Sabrina Carpenter release. The video is available in several third-party versions, and the steps to use it depend on whether you have Windows, macOS, Android, or an iPhone.
What the wallpaper is—and what it is not
The clip shows Carpenter moving toward the camera and kissing the lens, sometimes with a lipstick-mark effect. A YouTube upload titled Sabrina Carpenter Kissing Screen Live Wallpaper (Original) describes that scene, but “Original” is the uploader’s title, not evidence that the video is an official release. You can view that upload at YouTube.
“Live wallpaper” is used loosely for several different things. On Windows, it usually means a looping video behind desktop icons. On macOS, an animated desktop generally requires a third-party app. Android phones may use a manufacturer wallpaper picker or a dedicated video-wallpaper app. An iPhone cannot use an arbitrary MP4 as an always-playing Home Screen background; a video generally has to be converted to a Live Photo for supported Lock Screen behavior.
Versions are not identical. Wallper lists a 23-second loop, while another result identifies a 24-second version. These should be treated as separate encodes or listings, not one canonical file.

Is there an official download?
No official Sabrina Carpenter download or endorsement is established by the listings described here. The clip appears across a YouTube upload, wallpaper catalogs, and community posts. A free download or a listing labeled “original” does not establish who made it, whether Carpenter or her representatives approved it, or what reuse rights apply. Treat the video as fan-circulated and its licensing as unclear; do not present it as an endorsed product or redistribute it commercially.

- Video reference: The YouTube upload is useful for identifying the clip. It is not, by itself, proof of a downloadable wallpaper file or an official source.
- Desktop catalog: DesktopHut’s listing describes an HEVC-encoded MP4 at 4096×2304 and about 63.1 MB. Those are that listing’s specifications, not guaranteed properties of every copy.
- Mac-oriented catalogs: Wallspace lists a 23-second, 3840×2160 version at 78 MB. Wallper lists a 23-second loop, but its page also displays 1920×1080 and 2.91 MB despite describing the wallpaper as 4K. Check the actual file rather than relying on a headline or catalog metadata.
- Community listings: A Steam Workshop listing posted on August 21, 2025 reported 3840×2160 resolution and an 82.326 MB file, but the page now says the item was removed for violating Steam Community & Content Guidelines. Another Workshop listing exists; its presence does not guarantee that it is available or equivalent.
Search pages can mix unrelated images or videos with the intended clip. Preview a result before downloading. Do not follow a removal by seeking unofficial mirrors, and be wary of a supposed wallpaper download that requires an unknown executable, browser extension, or download manager rather than supplying a video or using a known wallpaper app.
Choose a format that suits your screen
The published specifications conflict, so “4K” is not a reliable description of every copy. DesktopHut lists 4096×2304; Wallspace lists 3840×2160; Wallper’s technical details show 1920×1080; and the removed Steam listing reported 3840×2160. These figures belong to specific listings and may reflect different encodes or inconsistent catalog metadata.

DesktopHut identifies its listed MP4 as HEVC (H.265). Some wallpaper apps or older hardware may not play HEVC reliably. If the file will not play, first confirm that the app supports that codec; if not, convert the video to H.264 MP4, preserve its aspect ratio where practical, and try a standard frame rate. Avoid downloading an unfamiliar codec pack just for this clip.
Set it up on Windows
With Lively Wallpaper
- Get a legitimate video file. DesktopHut’s listing recommends Lively Wallpaper or Wallpaper Engine for Windows, but that recommendation does not verify the file’s licensing or safety.
- Install Lively from its official site or the Microsoft Store.
- Open Lively, choose its option to add or import a wallpaper, and select the MP4. Dragging the file into the app may also work.
- Set playback to loop and mute the wallpaper if the app exposes audio controls.
- Check Lively’s performance settings so playback can pause on battery power or while a full-screen application is running.
With Wallpaper Engine
- Install Wallpaper Engine from its official site or its Steam page.
- Import the local video as a wallpaper, or use a Workshop item only if it is still available and appears to be the intended clip.
- Enable looping, turn off audio, and configure playback to pause during games, full-screen use, or battery operation as appropriate.
A Workshop search result is not a promise that its item can still be downloaded: at least one prominent listing was removed.

Set it up on macOS
A Mac-focused wallpaper service may be easier than manually configuring a video. Wallspace says its listed wallpaper can be applied inside its app and that the item needs no account or subscription; those are claims from the service, not independently verified guarantees. See the specific listing and its other similarly named listing.
- Install a Mac wallpaper app from its official vendor source.
- Select or import the clip, then apply it to the desktop. Choose a Lock Screen or other target only if the app explicitly supports it.
- Mute the clip and test what happens after sleep and wake, when an external monitor is connected, and when a full-screen app is open.
Do not assume an animated desktop continues on the Lock Screen or through sleep. Mac users have reported playback stopping or changing after sleep or a screen-saver transition; these behaviors can depend on the app and system setup.

Set it up on Android
Support varies by phone maker, Android version, and launcher; not every Android phone has a built-in video-wallpaper option.
- Save a legitimate video file locally.
- Open the phone’s wallpaper picker. If it cannot use video, choose a reputable video-wallpaper app and review its permissions before installing it.
- Select the clip and crop it for the phone’s portrait screen. Use a fit or crop option rather than stretching the image.
- Choose Home screen, Lock screen, or both only if the phone or app offers that choice.
- Turn off sound and check whether the wallpaper affects battery use or pauses when the phone is idle.
Set it up on iPhone
An ordinary MP4 cannot simply be selected as an always-playing iPhone Home Screen wallpaper. For supported Lock Screen behavior, the usual route is to convert the clip into a Live Photo using a reputable converter, then select that Live Photo through the Photos sharing or wallpaper workflow. Exact options and animation behavior depend on the iOS version and wallpaper mode.
- Crop the video to the iPhone’s portrait frame before conversion if your converter allows it.
- Convert it to a Live Photo with a reputable app, then open the result in Photos to confirm it was created correctly.
- Use the iPhone’s sharing or wallpaper workflow to set the Live Photo as a Lock Screen wallpaper where supported.
- Press and hold the Lock Screen to test whether it animates in your current setup. Do not expect continuous movement on the Home Screen.
If conversion fails, the MP4 may be too large for the app, still be an ordinary video rather than a Live Photo, or have a crop that does not suit the phone’s portrait frame. The exact controls vary by iOS version, so follow the converter’s current instructions rather than relying on a fixed menu path.
Fix common playback problems
- The video does not play: Check that the wallpaper app supports the file’s codec. The DesktopHut listing is HEVC in an MP4 container; converting it to H.264 MP4 is a reasonable fallback if the app does not support HEVC.
- The picture is stretched or badly cropped: Change the app’s display mode to fit or crop, or create a version matching your screen’s aspect ratio. Do not stretch the video to fill the display.
- There is unwanted sound: Mute the wallpaper in the app. If the app cannot mute it, remove the audio track during conversion.
- The download has a watermark: Some users report finding watermarked versions. A clean-looking copy is not automatically authorized; do not remove a creator’s watermark or treat its absence as proof of legitimacy.
- Playback stops after sleep: Some desktop wallpaper and screen-saver implementations stop or replace animated backgrounds after sleep. Check the app’s behavior and settings rather than assuming the file is faulty.
- Battery or performance suffers: Animated video can add CPU, GPU, and battery use, though the impact varies by device and settings. Mute it, lower the resolution on a laptop, pause it on battery and during full-screen activity, and avoid running several animated effects at once. If using multiple monitors, check whether the app plays a separate copy on each display.
- A phone version does not work: On Android, confirm that the phone or app supports video wallpaper and that the crop suits the screen. On iPhone, an MP4 must be converted for supported Live Photo Lock Screen behavior; conversion and playback options vary with the app and iOS version.
Safety and permissions
Prefer a known wallpaper app or a clearly identified video file over an installer from an unfamiliar mirror. Scan downloads, review an app’s permissions, and avoid software that bundles unrelated programs. None of the listed wallpaper pages establishes that a file is malicious; the practical concern is that the source and licensing may be unclear. “Free” describes access, not permission to reuse or redistribute the clip.
