For viewers in the United States, the best genuinely free way to watch The Chrisleys: Back to Reality is currently Sling Freestream. Sling’s official listing shows all eight Season 1 episodes available on demand through Freestream. You do not need cable, a paid Sling plan, or a credit card. The trade-off is advertising: this is free, ad-supported streaming rather than commercial-free viewing.
The fastest free method: Sling Freestream
Sling Freestream is Sling’s free, ad-supported streaming service. Unlike a seven-day trial, it is not tied to a temporary subscription period. Sling says Freestream does not require a paid subscription or credit card, and its current title page lists every episode of the first season of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.

- Start watching. If Sling offers sign-in, you can use a free account, but Sling’s current Freestream information says an account is optional.
Freestream works through supported web browsers, phones, tablets, smart TVs, and streaming devices. Sling maintains a current supported-devices list; menus and playback prompts can differ between a browser, Roku, Fire TV, phone, and smart-TV app.
A free Sling account can be useful if you want watchlists, profiles, parental controls, rewards, or up to 10 hours of free DVR, according to Sling. Creating the account does not turn Freestream into a paid subscription, but individual titles can have recording restrictions.
Is the entire first season free?
At the time of verification, yes: Sling’s official page marked all eight episodes as available with Freestream. That means the complete first season was listed for free, on-demand viewing without a cable login or paid subscription. The title can still leave the catalog later because streaming rights rotate.

The official Lifetime episode guide lists each episode at 42 minutes. Sling displays 43 minutes for the same episodes, likely reflecting platform timing or rounding. The season originally premiered on Lifetime with two episodes on September 1, two on September 2, two on September 9, and two on September 16, 2025.
Other legal ways to watch without cable
Several other services carry the series, but they do not all meet the same definition of free. The table below separates permanent ad-supported access from free trials, existing subscriptions, library access, and provider-authenticated viewing.

| Service | What free means here | Important condition |
|---|---|---|
| Sling Freestream | Free, ad-supported streaming | Best current option; the official listing shows all eight episodes. No cable, paid subscription, or credit card is required according to Sling. |
| Lifetime website and app | Some programming may be unlocked | Locked episodes require authentication through a participating cable, satellite, or live-TV provider that includes Lifetime. |
| Lifetime Movie Club | Seven-day free trial | Commercial-free trial viewing, then a subscription. Cancel before the trial ends if you do not want renewal; check the checkout page for the current post-trial price. |
| Philo | Seven-day free trial | New users are offered a trial, followed by $25 plus tax per month on the current official pricing page. Lifetime is included. |
| Frndly TV | Seven-day free trial | The show page advertises Lifetime, live and on-demand viewing, and plans starting at $6.99 per month. Check the exact renewal price during signup. |
| Fubo | Trial where offered | Trial eligibility and duration vary by plan. Fubo’s current pages show different trial lengths, so there is no single universal Fubo trial period. |
| DIRECTV | Five-day free trial | Lifetime appears in higher-tier streaming packages. It is excessive for one eight-episode series unless you also want a broad live-TV replacement. |
| Hoopla | Potentially free through a library | You need a participating public library card and account. Availability and lending limits depend on the library’s catalog. |
| The Roku Channel | Reported free with ads | JustWatch currently reports availability, but a direct Roku catalog page was not located during verification. Check the Roku app before relying on it. |
| Spectrum On Demand | Possible existing-subscriber access | Listings that describe it as free may mean free to eligible Spectrum customers, not free to everyone. |
| Peacock | Included with a subscription | The official page lists the complete season. Displayed plans begin at $7.99 per month for Select, $10.99 for Premium, and $16.99 for Premium Plus; confirm plan inclusion before signing up. |
| Hulu | Included with a subscription | Hulu lists one season and eight episodes. Displayed general plans begin at $11.99 per month, but Hulu is not a free route unless you already have access through a subscription or promotion. |
| Disney+ | Included with a subscription | The U.S. listing is available on Disney+, with displayed plans starting at $11.99 per month. It is not free unless you already subscribe. |
Availability information from aggregators such as JustWatch can reflect different kinds of access: a subscription you already pay for, a library account, a provider login, or a title that may soon rotate out. Use the official service page or app to confirm playback before entering payment details.
Which option is best for you?
- You want the whole season at no cost: Start with Sling Freestream. It is the only currently verified option that combines all eight episodes with no cable requirement, no paid subscription, and no trial expiration.
- You want commercial-free viewing: Try Lifetime Movie Club’s seven-day trial. Set a cancellation reminder for before the renewal date if you do not want to continue paying.
- You want Lifetime plus other live channels: Compare Philo and Frndly TV. Philo’s official page currently lists $25 plus tax per month after its seven-day trial, while Frndly TV advertises plans from $6.99 per month. Those prices and promotions can change, and the exact renewal amount should be checked at signup.
- You have a public-library card: Search Hoopla first. It may provide the show without a streaming subscription, but only if your library licenses it and has lending capacity available.
- You already subscribe to Hulu, Disney+, or Peacock: Search for the title inside that service before starting another trial. The official title pages currently list the series, but catalog rights are subject to change.
- You want a broad live-TV replacement: Fubo or DIRECTV can make sense if you also need sports, news, or many live channels. They are not economical choices for this series alone.
Why Lifetime may ask you to sign in
Lifetime’s official show page lists all eight episodes and links to Stream on Lifetime. That does not guarantee that every episode will play for an unauthenticated visitor. Lifetime explains that some episodes are locked and must be unlocked by connecting a participating TV provider that includes Lifetime.
If the player shows a lock icon, an authorization message, or a request to choose a provider, you need an eligible cable, satellite, or internet-delivered live-TV subscription. A free Lifetime profile is not the same as a paid direct Lifetime subscription, and Lifetime says it does not generally offer a standalone subscription that unlocks the full catalog. For a no-provider viewer, return to Sling Freestream rather than assuming the Lifetime page is broken.
The Lifetime website and apps are intended for the United States. Do not assume that the Sling, Lifetime, Hulu, Peacock, Disney+, or other listings in this guide apply in other countries; rights, services, pricing, and even the title’s availability vary by territory.
Playback troubleshooting
The series does not appear in Sling
- Open the direct Sling title page instead of searching only the paid Sling channel guide.
- Search the exact title, including the colon: The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.
- Confirm that the episode says Available with Freestream, not only available with a paid plan.
- Try the browser player if the television app does not show the title, or try the Sling app on a supported device.
- Disable a VPN or proxy temporarily. Location-masking services can prevent a U.S. catalog from appearing.
- Recheck the listing later. Free-streaming rights can rotate even when a page was available previously.
Playback is buffering
Sling recommends approximately 3 Mbps or higher for portable devices, 5 Mbps or higher for a single computer stream, and 25 Mbps or higher for households using multiple devices. These are recommendations, not a guarantee against buffering. If playback struggles, pause other downloads and streams, move closer to the router, restart the app, or switch from a congested Wi-Fi connection to a wired or more stable connection.

Browse dedicated content categories, pin more of your favorite apps, and get personalized recommendations from Alexa+. Spend less time scrolling, and more time watching.
- Elevate your entertainment experience with a powerful processor for lightning-fast app starts and fluid navigation.

- Fire TV Ambient Experience lets you display over 2,000 pieces of museum-quality art and photography.
You expected a commercial-free stream
Freestream is supported by advertising, so commercials are part of the no-cost option. If you want commercial-free viewing, Lifetime Movie Club’s official series page advertises a seven-day trial instead. That trial becomes a paid subscription unless canceled according to the service’s terms.
A free trial asks for a card
That is normal for Lifetime Movie Club, Philo, Frndly TV, Fubo, and DIRECTV. A card is generally used to start the trial and authorize renewal. Record the renewal date and cancel through the same service or app store where you subscribed if you only want the trial. Sling Freestream is the exception in this guide: Sling says a credit card is not required.

The Chrisleys: Back to Reality is a Lifetime reality-documentary series, not a new season of Chrisley Knows Best. It follows the family through the period in which Todd and Julie Chrisley are eventually pardoned, released from prison, and reunited with their family. Peacock describes the series through that family-return premise, while Lifetime identifies it as a one-season, eight-episode program.
The series premiered on Lifetime on September 1, 2025. Lifetime and Peacock list it as TV-14. JustWatch displays a TV-PG listing, so ratings can differ between platforms; the first-party Lifetime and Peacock rating is the more relevant reference for the official program listing.
No verified renewal information was found in the official streaming listings reviewed for this guide. The listings establish one available season, but they should not be read as confirmation of a second season.

Watch safely and legally
Use the official Lifetime, Sling, Philo, Frndly TV, Fubo, DIRECTV, Hulu, Disney+, Peacock, or Hoopla pages and apps. Avoid unofficial mirror sites, torrent pages, and “free TV” sites that ask you to install suspicious browser extensions, download unknown players, or enter payment information before showing a stream. Legal free options can include advertising or library eligibility, but they should not require dubious software.

Sling’s current Freestream information says an account is optional. A free account adds features such as watchlists, profiles, parental controls, rewards, and up to 10 hours of free DVR.

Can I watch Sling Freestream on Roku, Fire TV, or a smart TV?
Sling supports browsers, phones, tablets, smart TVs, and streaming devices. The exact app and menu experience varies by device, so consult Sling’s current supported-devices page if your television does not show the app.
Is the Lifetime website a completely free way to watch the season?
Not necessarily. Lifetime lists the show and some content may be unlocked, but Lifetime says locked episodes require authentication through a participating TV provider that includes Lifetime. If you see a lock or provider-login prompt, use Sling Freestream or another legitimate option instead.
Do Philo and Frndly TV offer free trials?
Both currently advertise seven-day trials. Philo’s official page lists $25 plus tax per month after the trial, while Frndly TV advertises plans starting at $6.99 per month. Confirm the renewal price and cancel before the trial ends if you do not want a subscription.
Can I watch the series through my public library?
Possibly. Hoopla lists the series, but access depends on whether your public library participates, licenses the title, and has lending availability. You will generally need a library card and Hoopla account.
Is this the same series as Chrisley Knows Best?
No. The Chrisleys: Back to Reality is a separate Lifetime reality-documentary series focused on the family’s return and circumstances surrounding Todd and Julie Chrisley. It is not simply another season of Chrisley Knows Best.
Has a second season been confirmed?
The official listings reviewed confirm one season with eight episodes. They do not provide verified renewal information, so do not assume that a second season has been announced.
The Bottom Line
Start with Sling Freestream. As of August 10, 2026, it is the clearest legal route for watching the complete eight-episode first season of The Chrisleys: Back to Reality without cable, a paid subscription, or a credit card. Expect advertisements, and verify the Available with Freestream label before playback. Use Lifetime Movie Club, Philo, Frndly TV, Fubo, or DIRECTV only if a time-limited trial or broader channel package suits you better.
