Sergio Mayer dijo que fue el público quien decidió su eliminación de La casa de los famosos 6 y negó haber acordado con la producción abandonar el programa. People en Español informó que fue el concursante menos votado de la placa; la versión de un acuerdo no está verificada por la cobertura consultada.
¿Por qué salió Sergio Mayer de La casa de los famosos 6?
Después de su eliminación, Mayer sostuvo que el público determinó quién continuaba en el reality. En declaraciones al pódcast oficial del programa, conducido por William Valdés y citadas por People en Español el 10 de marzo de 2026, dijo: “Cada semana yo buscaba la forma de estar nominado”. La nota lo identifica como el concursante menos votado de la placa.
Mayer también afirmó: “El público siempre merece todo mi respeto y ahí no hay ningún cuestionamiento”. Su explicación, por tanto, fue que la audiencia decidió su salida, no que él se retirara antes de una votación.
¿Había llegado a un acuerdo para salir?
Mayer negó esa versión. Según People en Español, dijo: “Para que no vayan a empezar a especular que hice acuerdo que me sacaran y todo, no, yo jugué como quise jugar y el público es el que decidió, para que no vayan a inventar que había un acuerdo con la producción. Eso no existe”. Estas son declaraciones atribuidas a Mayer por ese medio, no una verificación independiente de las conversaciones con la producción.

La especulación sobre una salida por “causas mayores” fue atribuida a Paulo Quevedo durante una transmisión de TikTok. Mayer rechazó esa versión junto con la de un acuerdo. La cobertura consultada no confirma que existiera tal pacto ni establece que esas supuestas causas fueran el motivo de su eliminación.
Qué publicó Telemundo después de su salida
Telemundo presentó dos conversaciones posteriores a la eliminación. El segmento “¡Sin filtros!”, publicado el 10 de marzo de 2026, describe a Mayer hablando de su experiencia, estrategias y alianzas. El resumen de El Balcón de Maripily, publicado el 11 de marzo, señala que habló sobre las causas de su salida y la polémica en México por entrar al reality. Ninguna de esas páginas ofrece una transcripción completa, por lo que no permiten atribuirle otros detalles o frases específicos.

La eliminación no fue lo mismo que su licencia legislativa
La participación de Mayer en el programa también generó debate por su licencia como diputado. En una nota del 14 de marzo de 2026, EL PAÍS México reportó que Mayer justificó esa licencia por un “tema económico” y pidió reincorporarse a su escaño. Ese contexto explica su decisión de pedir licencia y participar en el reality; no es una explicación de por qué fue eliminado.
