Rogers does offer Disney+ at no additional charge to some TV customers, but the benefit is specifically Disney+ Standard with Ads. It is not included with every Rogers account, it requires activation through MyRogers, and changing to an ineligible Rogers plan can end access.
Rogers and Disney announced the offer on June 25, 2024. Current eligibility depends on the Rogers package, account, province, promotional terms and, for some customers, whether the service is administered through Rogers-together-with-Shaw.
What Rogers is actually offering
The included service is the Disney+ streaming subscription tier called Standard with Ads. It is separate from advertising on ordinary Rogers television channels. Once activated, it provides access to Disney+ programming, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic titles, subject to Disney’s catalogue and terms.

Which Rogers customers may qualify?
Rogers’ support information gives these qualifying examples:
- Selected Rogers Xfinity TV packages, including Popular.
- Ultimate TV with StreamSaver.
- StreamSaver.
- Selected Rogers App TV packages where Disney+ Standard with Ads is shown as included.
- Some Rogers-together-with-Shaw accounts, using the MyRogers (Shaw) account experience.
Older Rogers community guidance names additional Xfinity packages such as Total, Premier, Ultimate and Flex 20, but package names and eligibility can change. Treat those names as historical examples, not a guarantee. Check the exact package and entitlement in your MyRogers account and on the current Rogers TV plans page or Rogers streaming-apps page.
Rogers internet-only, wireless-only and legacy customers should not assume they qualify. If Disney+ is not displayed in the account’s available subscriptions, the service is not established as included for that account.

What the included tier includes—and omits

Someone who wants ad-free playback, downloads or 4K/HDR should compare an upgrade rather than treating the included tier as equivalent to Disney+ Premium.
How to activate Disney+ through Rogers
- Sign in to MyRogers. Rogers-together-with-Shaw customers should use the appropriate MyRogers (Shaw) experience.
- Open the account or TV dashboard and look for a Disney+ activation banner. If it is not on the dashboard, open Subscriptions.
- Select Activate and follow the Rogers-provided redemption flow.
- Create a Disney+ account or link an existing Disney+ login when prompted.
- Finish the linking process before opening Disney+ independently or entering payment details on Disney’s normal signup page.
After activation, the linked account can be used on supported Rogers Xfinity set-top boxes, smart TVs, phones, tablets, game consoles and web browsers. The Disney+ app may be available from the Rogers Xfinity, App TV or StreamSaver interface as well as directly on compatible devices.
If you already pay for Disney+
Do not cancel or start a second subscription blindly. First identify who bills the current Disney+ account—Disney directly, Apple, Google, Amazon, another provider or a bundle—and note whether the plan is Standard with Ads, Standard or Premium.

- Double check if the URL/website is genuine before entering card details online. Do not provide any gift card details (example: claim code) to someone you do not know or trust. There are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards.
- If you believe that your Card has been lost or stolen, notify Mastercard immediately by calling 1-833-791-7288. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Mastercard Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted, including online. Your Amazon.com Balance cannot be used to purchase Mastercard gift cards.
Rogers says an existing Disney+ account can retain its profiles, viewing history and settings when linked. If the existing plan is lower than the Rogers-included tier, Disney billing may pause. If the existing plan is the same or higher tier, both Disney and Rogers may continue billing unless the direct subscription is cancelled. A Rogers community article advises cancellation as a precaution, but timing depends on the billing channel and current plan.
- Follow the account-specific instructions shown during Rogers activation.
- Do not submit payment on a separate Disney+ signup screen reached outside MyRogers.
- Check the Disney+ account’s billing page and your bank or app-store statements after linking.
- Do not cancel immediately if doing so would end a paid period before the Rogers entitlement is active.
- Check separately for an Extra Member add-on; Rogers community guidance indicates it can remain separately billed in some accounts.
What “free” is worth
Disney+ Canada listed these direct monthly prices when checked in August 2026:

Prices can change; see the current Disney+ Canada plans page. The $8.99 figure is not automatically money saved. If you add or retain an expensive Rogers package only for Disney+, compare the total Rogers bill with a direct Disney+ subscription. StreamSaver, for example, was listed at $22 per month on Rogers’ page reviewed, alongside other bundled services; its value depends on whether you also want those services and accept their plan restrictions.

When upgrading makes sense
Rogers says eligible customers can upgrade the included subscription through Rogers or the linked Disney+ account. The available choices are generally:
- Disney+ Standard: ad-free viewing, up to 1080p, two streams and downloads.
- Disney+ Premium: ad-free viewing, up to 4K UHD/HDR, four streams and downloads.
The upgrade charge is account- and package-dependent; Rogers does not publish one universal price for every customer. Confirm the amount shown in MyRogers before accepting.

The entitlement is tied to the qualifying Rogers service rather than owned independently of it. Downgrading, switching to an ineligible package or cancelling Rogers service can end the included Disney+ access. Check the service agreement and account offer terms before making the change. If the entitlement ends, subscribe directly to Disney+ if you want uninterrupted access.

Troubleshooting activation
No Disney+ banner appears
- Confirm the exact TV package on your bill, not just the broad product name.
- Sign in through the MyRogers website as well as the mobile app.
- Open the account’s Subscriptions area.
- Rogers-together-with-Shaw customers should verify they are in the correct MyRogers (Shaw) portal.
- Check for a Rogers activation email.
- If the package appears eligible but no redemption path exists, contact Rogers and ask for the Disney+ entitlement to be checked.
Community reports have described activation-banner delays of several days after installation or a plan change, but that is not a universal Rogers service-level promise. See the reported activation-delay discussion at Rogers Community.
A Disney+ page asks for payment
Stop before submitting payment. You may have entered Disney’s ordinary signup flow instead of the Rogers redemption path. Return to MyRogers and restart from the activation banner or Subscriptions area.
Linking fails or the wrong account opens
Sign out of Disney+ on the browser or device, then reopen the Rogers activation link. Use the Disney+ email address associated with the account you intend to keep, and verify the resulting billing status before cancelling any other subscription.
Who should use the offer?
- Good fit: You already have an eligible Rogers TV package, watch Disney+ content regularly, accept ads, and are satisfied with 1080p and two simultaneous streams.
- Consider an upgrade: You need ad-free viewing, downloads, 4K/HDR or four concurrent streams.
- Compare direct Disney+ instead: You do not need Rogers TV, already receive Disney+ through another bundle, or are considering a Rogers package solely for an $8.99-per-month streaming service.
The Bottom Line
If your MyRogers account shows the benefit, activate it through Rogers and verify billing before cancelling any existing Disney+ subscription. Remember that the included service is Standard with Ads—not the ad-free or 4K tier—and that eligibility ends if the qualifying Rogers service ends.
