The five Salinger siblings on Party of Five were played by Matthew Fox, Scott Wolf, Neve Campbell, Lacey Chabert and, over the course of the series, more than one actor as Owen. Since the Fox drama ended in 2000, the cast has moved among television, film franchises, Hallmark movies and voice acting; Jacob Smith, one of the later Owens, has largely stepped away from screen acting. Here’s a look at the actors’ documented work, rather than their private whereabouts.
Who played the Salinger siblings?
Party of Five ran for six seasons on Fox from 1994 to 2000. The drama followed the Salinger children after their parents died: Charlie took on guardianship, Bailey handled family finances and rules, Julia sought independence, Claudia was an 11-year-old violinist, and the siblings shared responsibility for infant Owen. The family also tried to keep their parents’ restaurant running. Sony Pictures’ series page provides the show’s official synopsis.

Where are the five main cast members now?
Matthew Fox (Charlie Salinger)
After Party of Five, Fox became widely known for Lost and appeared in films including Speed Racer, Alex Cross, World War Z and Bone Tomahawk. A July 2026 AOL/PEOPLE roundup reports that he returned to television with Last Light in 2022 and later appeared in C*A*U*G*H*T and The Madison. It also says he took a hiatus to focus on family; those reported credits do not establish his current schedule.
Scott Wolf (Bailey Salinger)
Wolf continued working in television, with series credits including Everwood, V, Perception, The Night Shift and Nancy Drew. A 2026 report says he has had a recurring role on Fox’s Doc since 2025. He also reunited with Chabert in the 2023 Hallmark movie A Merry Scottish Christmas.

Neve Campbell (Julia Salinger)
Campbell is closely associated with Sidney Prescott in the Scream franchise. The 2026 roundup lists her appearance in Scream 7 and names The Lincoln Lawyer among her television work; a 2025 profile also cites House of Cards.
Lacey Chabert (Claudia Salinger)
Chabert followed her early television work with the 2004 film Mean Girls, a large body of Hallmark movie roles and voice acting, including Eliza Thornberry in The Wild Thornberrys. A July 2026 AOL/PEOPLE roundup counted her as having appeared in more than 40 Hallmark films by its publication date. That is the outlet’s dated tally, not a claim about a fixed or official filmography count.

Jacob Smith (Owen Salinger)
Owen was played by multiple actors; Smith took the role in later seasons. His screen credits include Cheaper by the Dozen (2003) and its sequel. Recent profiles describe him as having largely stepped away from screen acting, while also noting social-media updates and theater activity. That is different from saying he has retired or vanished from public view.
What happened to the supporting cast?
Jennifer Love Hewitt (Sarah Reeves)
Hewitt joined in season two as Bailey’s girlfriend, Sarah Reeves. She later led Ghost Whisperer and The Client List and has been associated with 9-1-1. The July 2026 roundup reports that she reprised Julia James in the 2025 I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel.

At an April 2025 panel moderated by PEOPLE, Chabert said of her castmates: “You know, when you spend six years of your life with a group of people, they become family, and so, you know, we all keep in touch, and they just mean so much to me.” That is Chabert’s account of the relationships, not independent confirmation of how often every cast member stays in contact.
Wolf described the ensemble as “very much a second family to each other” in a 2015 HuffPost Live interview, as quoted by Parade. He also said then that he saw Campbell more than the other castmates; that recollection is specific to 2015, not a current account of their contact.
