Triviaverse is a rapid-fire interactive trivia special that Netflix launched globally on November 8, 2022. It offers timed solo rounds and a turn-based mode for two players, with questions spanning science, history, geography, art and pop culture.
Its availability is no longer uniform. Netflix still exposes official title pages in some regions, while a third-party catalog tracker reports a U.S. removal on December 1, 2024. Check your own Netflix catalog before assuming the game is playable.
What is Triviaverse?
Netflix presented Triviaverse as an interactive trivia experience rather than a conventional downloadable video game. It plays more like a short, controller-friendly game show inside Netflix: answer questions quickly, accumulate points and try to beat a personal or head-to-head score.
The questions are broad general knowledge, not limited to Netflix productions. Netflix’s official announcement cites science, history, pop culture and other subjects. Regional Netflix pages classify the title as Special Interest and describe it as a cerebral, pop-culture-oriented game-show experience.

How the gameplay works
Solo mode
Solo play consists of three rounds that increase in difficulty. Each question is timed, so the aim is to combine accuracy with speed. Netflix promoted 4,000 points as a solo personal-best challenge; that is a score goal, not evidence of a universal leaderboard or a fixed maximum score.
Two-player mode
The documented multiplayer option is turn-based: each of two players completes two rounds, then the scores are compared. Players do not answer simultaneously in a large online lobby, and Netflix’s launch material does not establish support for more than two contestants.

Scores, badges and titles
Correct answers build a running score. The original achievement system attached humorous badges and escalating titles to performance, including “Bird Brain,” “Super Nerd,” “Certified Genius” and the top designation “Triviaverse God.” Netflix also advertised 10,000 points as a two-player target. These are part of the original game design, not a current Netflix-wide ranking system.

What Netflix supported at launch
Netflix said Triviaverse would work on devices capable of its interactive experiences, including smart TVs, streaming devices, game consoles, computer browsers and mobile devices. “Supported” meant compatible with Netflix’s interactive technology, not every model or operating-system version.
How current Netflix game support differs
Netflix’s present documentation separates mobile games from games played on TVs or computers. Its TV and computer games are described as a beta and may require a compatible TV or streaming device, the Netflix app, a stable internet connection and a phone or tablet for each player. Those current instructions should not be treated as a guaranteed reconstruction of the exact 2022 Triviaverse controls. Netflix’s interactive infrastructure, app versions and device support have changed. A title page appearing in a browser is not proof that the title will launch on a particular television, console or phone.
Download or stream?
The launch announcement positioned Triviaverse as a Netflix interactive title, not a separately purchased game. Netflix’s current support pages say mobile games are downloaded to a device, while supported TV and computer games launch through Netflix. The current mobile-games catalog does not list Triviaverse, so do not assume that finding Netflix Games on a phone means this title is included there. Does it cost extra?
When included in a member’s local Netflix interactive catalog, Triviaverse did not require a separate game purchase. Netflix says its mobile and TV games are included with a Netflix membership and have no ads, extra fees or in-app purchases: mobile-game guidance and TV/computer-game guidance.

That does not make it free to non-subscribers. A Netflix membership is required where the title is available, and plan prices vary by country and can change. Do not subscribe solely for Triviaverse until you have confirmed that it appears in your regional catalog.

Languages announced for launch
Netflix announced nine launch languages:

- Portuguese (Brazil)

- Japanese
These are launch-language details; current language options can depend on the title page and market.
Ratings vary by country
There is no single worldwide age rating. Netflix’s Canadian page displays TV-PG, while pages in other regions show ratings such as 7+ or 13+. Parents should check the title page in their own country and the maturity setting on the child’s profile. Is Triviaverse still on Netflix?
The launch claim that the title was globally available describes November 2022, not the catalog in 2026. Netflix still maintains regional pages, including:
These pages show that Netflix lists the title in some markets, but a regional URL can remain indexed even when the title is unavailable in another country. A third-party tracker, Flixboss, reports that Triviaverse left the U.S. Netflix catalog on December 1, 2024: Flixboss’s catalog record. Netflix has not provided a source confirming a universal 2026 removal date or a global policy specific to this title.
How to check your own catalog
- Open Netflix while connected from the country whose catalog you use.
- Search for Triviaverse and open the title page.
- Check whether a Play option appears, rather than relying on a web-search result.
- On a TV or computer, confirm that the device and Netflix app support the relevant interactive feature.
- If using a child or restricted profile, review its maturity setting.
- If the title remains absent, treat country licensing or catalog removal as the likely explanation before replacing the device.
Netflix lists country restrictions, device requirements, profile maturity settings and catalog status among the reasons a game may not appear. A VPN is not a dependable workaround: it can cause catalog, playback or account issues and does not guarantee that an interactive title will function.
What to expect—and what not to expect
- Short sessions: The timed rounds suit a quick solo challenge or a brief activity with another person.
- Broad trivia: Expect general-knowledge categories rather than a quiz devoted only to Netflix shows.
- Limited multiplayer: The documented format is one player or two players taking turns, not a large-group party mode or public matchmaking.
- Light progression: Scores and humorous achievement titles provide replay motivation, but this is not a deep game with conventional levels or persistent character progression.
- Variable availability: Country licensing, app versions and device support determine whether it can actually be played.

Triviaverse remains a concise, low-setup trivia experience if it appears in your local Netflix catalog. It offers timed solo play and turn-based two-player competition, with no separate game purchase for members. If you cannot find it—particularly in the United States—that may reflect catalog removal or regional licensing rather than a fault with your device.
