MyoStorm pitched its Meteor heated, vibrating massage ball on Shark Tank Season 11, Episode 5, which aired October 27, 2019. The founders asked for $150,000 for 10% of the company and accepted Lori Greiner’s on-air offer of $150,000 for 5% plus a $1-per-unit royalty until $500,000 had been repaid. Publicly available coverage does not conclusively establish whether that investment closed on those terms. MyoStorm’s storefront currently lists the Meteor and two smaller models; prices seen August 18, 2026, were $139, $99, and $79, respectively.
What happened on MyoStorm’s Shark Tank episode?
The pitch appeared in Season 11, Episode 5, aired October 27, 2019. ABC’s episode roundup described MyoStorm’s product as a recovery device combining heat and vibration. ABC’s episode roundup confirms the appearance, but it is not necessarily a permanent free stream of the full segment.
The presenters were Jonothan “Jono” DiPeri, Shaquille Walker, and Jared Ward. Runner’s World identified DiPeri as founder and CEO; Walker was a former BYU track athlete, and Ward was a 2016 Olympic marathoner and former BYU teammate of Walker who was involved with MyoStorm as an ambassador and researcher. DiPeri developed the concept while studying mechanical engineering at Brigham Young University. Runner’s World’s account of the pitch also reports that MyoStorm had raised $65,461 through Kickstarter in 2018 and had about $120,000 in sales before the show—historical figures, not current revenue.
The founders’ ask and the offers
The founders sought $150,000 for 10% equity, implying a $1.5 million valuation at the requested terms. Runner’s World reported these offers during the televised negotiation:

- Kevin O’Leary: $150,000 for 5% plus a $1 royalty per ball until $500,000 had been repaid.
- Matt Higgins: $150,000 for 10%.
- Lori Greiner: matched the royalty structure and was selected by the founders.
Some accounts differ on whether Daymond John made a specific offer. MyoStorm’s current site says all five Sharks offered, while Runner’s World’s more detailed account does not establish a precise Daymond offer. The available accounts therefore do not support assigning him specific terms as an uncontested fact. MyoStorm’s current storefront carries the company’s claim; the pitch details above are from Runner’s World.
What was Lori Greiner’s deal?
The founders accepted Greiner’s on-air offer of $150,000 for 5% equity, plus $1 per unit sold until $500,000 had been repaid. Runner’s World reported that the founders saw Greiner’s QVC and health-and-fitness connections as a good match for the product.
An agreement accepted on camera is not proof that an investment later cleared due diligence and reached final contracts. A later Shark Tank Blog recap questioned whether the deal closed, but the publicly available accounts cited here do not conclusively establish the final outcome. It is most accurate to call this Greiner’s accepted on-air deal, not a confirmed completed investment.
What is the Meteor massage ball?
The Meteor is a cordless, compact massage device shaped for targeted pressure work. A user holds it against a sore area or rolls it over a muscle, combining body-applied pressure with vibration and warmth. That mix—not simply the shape of a massage ball—was the product’s central proposition on the show.

MyoStorm’s current storefront lists a maximum heat setting of 120°F and four vibration settings for the current Meteor. Those are manufacturer-listed specifications for the present product listing; they should not automatically be attributed to the original 2019 model. The storefront now lists the Meteor, Meteor Mini, and Meteor Mini Lite, which are distinct product offerings. Product versions may differ in controls, dimensions, charging hardware, or performance. Check MyoStorm’s current product listing for the model being considered.
How is it supposed to work, and what does the evidence mean?
In use, the person positions the ball on a tight or sore area, moves it to find a comfortable placement, and applies pressure with the hands or body. Vibration provides mechanical stimulation, while the heated surface warms the contact area. MyoStorm markets the device for areas including feet, calves, hamstrings, quadriceps, back, and neck; intended-use examples do not establish that every placement is appropriate for every person.
The company says its vibration settings were selected through work involving exercise science, mechanical engineering, athletes, and doctors. It also invokes mechanoreceptors and “gate control” to explain how physical stimulation may temporarily change pain perception. These are MyoStorm’s explanations and product-positioning claims, not independent proof that the Meteor heals an injury or treats a medical condition. General research on heat, massage, or vibration cannot by itself validate this specific commercial device. MyoStorm’s foot-pain page describes its gate-control rationale; its science and claims page presents the company’s broader positioning.
Heat or massage-like pressure may provide temporary comfort for some people, but perceived relief is different from resolving the cause of pain. Claims about faster recovery, improved circulation, or reduced pain should be understood as manufacturer claims, not guaranteed outcomes or evidence of treatment efficacy.

How to use the Meteor and when to be cautious
MyoStorm’s current general instructions describe the following approach. Follow the manual supplied with the exact model, since the product generation may affect operation.
- Identify a sore or tense area and place the device against it.
- Move it slowly to find a position that feels useful rather than sharply painful.
- Activate heat and vibration, then adjust the intensity to a comfortable level.
- Stop if you experience pain, numbness, burning, dizziness, or other unusual symptoms.
The manufacturer says the current device automatically shuts off after 30 minutes of continuous use. Check the manual for the model you own. Do not use heat or vibration to mask a potentially serious injury. Seek medical advice for severe, persistent, unexplained, or worsening pain. Ask a clinician before use if you are pregnant, recovering from surgery, have impaired sensation or circulation, or have a significant musculoskeletal, neurological, or vascular condition. Avoid strong pressure over the front of the neck, open wounds, acute swelling, fractures, or an area where a blood clot is suspected. The Meteor is not a substitute for diagnosis, physical therapy, or rehabilitation guidance.
Is MyoStorm still selling the Meteor?
MyoStorm’s storefront currently lists the Meteor, Meteor Mini, and Meteor Mini Lite. Prices displayed on August 18, 2026, were $139 for the Meteor, $99 for the Meteor Mini, and $79 for the Meteor Mini Lite. These were promotional storefront prices observed on that date, not guaranteed ongoing prices. The listings support that the products were available from the company’s online store at that time; they do not establish company revenue, retail distribution, or the status of Greiner’s investment. See the current MyoStorm storefront for availability and pricing.
Who might want it—and what are the trade-offs?
The Meteor’s premium over a manual ball buys integrated heat, powered vibration, and a cordless form intended for more targeted rolling pressure. That combination may appeal to active people who want those features in one device. It is less compelling for someone who only needs inexpensive pressure work or warmth, and it is not a clinical answer to persistent pain.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Manual massage or lacrosse ball: A simple, low-cost option for targeted pressure, without heat, charging, or powered vibration.
- Foam roller: Better suited to broad muscle areas such as legs and back, though bulkier and less precise.
- Massage gun: Offers percussion and often interchangeable heads, but may feel too aggressive for people seeking a heated rolling ball.
- Heating pad: Provides warmth without focused rolling pressure or vibration.
- Physical therapist: A more appropriate route for recurrent or persistent pain, loss of function, or questions about an injury because a clinician can assess the problem and guide treatment.
Electronics add charging needs and possible points of failure, and a compact ball can be difficult to position on the back without help. A device that temporarily reduces perceived pain can also make it easier to overwork an injury. “Deep tissue” marketing does not establish that a product reaches or repairs deep tissue.
