At the June 16 service, Catherine watched Prince William’s procession from Windsor Castle to St. George’s Chapel. AOL’s report identifies her dress as a Self-Portrait design and says she repeated the jewelry as well. A Sean Barrett hat completed the outfit. Why the event matters
The Order of the Garter service is an annual occasion at Windsor Castle. Vogue describes the Order as Britain’s oldest chivalric order; it honors the King, Queen, wider royal family, and up to 24 companions for public service. Vogue’s coverage of Garter Day.
What this repeat does—and does not—show
The outfit is a clear example of Catherine wearing a previously seen dress and jewelry at a formal royal event. Later fashion coverage has also discussed wardrobe repeats, but that wider pattern should not be confused with the specifics of this June 2025 appearance.

The available reporting does not give Catherine’s reason for choosing the dress again, nor does it measure the environmental effect of this individual repeat. It is accurate to describe the visible rewear; claims about her personal motive or a quantified sustainability benefit go beyond what these reports establish.
Later repeats are separate appearances
In June 2026, Vogue covered a different Garter Day outfit: a new Patrick McDowell coat-dress. The same article also discussed a Self-Portrait blazer-skirt dress Catherine wore at multiple engagements. In September 2026, Evoke reported another distinct repeat: a blue Edeline Lee suit previously worn in Italy in May. These later examples provide context for continued fashion coverage of her rewears, but neither changes what she wore in June 2025.
