Talamasca: The Secret Order follows Guy Anatole, a young law-school graduate whose unusual ability draws him into a secret organization that monitors the supernatural. The six-episode drama is part of AMC’s Anne Rice Immortal Universe and shares a setting with Interview with the Vampire. Netflix Tudum listed the series as streaming on Netflix in its August 24, 2026 guide; availability can vary by country.
What is Talamasca: The Secret Order about?
Guy Anatole enters the world of the Talamasca after his mind-reading or clairvoyant ability brings him to the attention of the organization. In the series, the Talamasca watches supernatural beings and seeks to understand and manage the dangers surrounding them. AMC describes it as “a secretive agency that monitors and protects us from the supernatural world.”

The story moves through the organization’s New York Motherhouse and toward a mission connected to its London Motherhouse. Guy encounters Helen, Talamasca agent Olive, and Burton, a vampire informant. The premise blends supernatural drama with the structures of an intelligence or spy story, but the Talamasca is fictional; it should not be confused with a real-world intelligence service.
How does it fit into Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe?
AMC positions the series as the third show in its Anne Rice Immortal Universe. Netflix Tudum describes it as taking place in the same world as Interview with the Vampire. The shows therefore share a fictional universe, though Talamasca follows the organization and the people drawn into its work rather than retelling the story of the vampires in Interview.

- Talamasca: The Secret Order [Blu-Ray]
The Talamasca organization also appears in Anne Rice’s fiction, including The Vampire Chronicles and Lives of the Mayfair Witches. Those books can provide optional background on the wider fictional world; the available series guide does not identify one particular novel as the direct source for this season.
Who is in the cast, and who made the series?
Nicholas Denton plays Guy Anatole. Netflix Tudum’s August 2026 cast guide also lists Celine Buckens as Doris, Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Olive, William Fichtner as Jasper, Elizabeth McGovern as Helen, Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy, and Jason Schwartzman as Burton.
AMC named John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty as co-showrunners and executive producers, with Mark Johnson as an executive producer. Hancock described the organization as a creative point of departure for a spy-thriller sensibility, while Johnson characterized the show as combining procedural storytelling with the supernatural. Those comparisons describe the show’s approach, not an equivalence between its fictional organization and actual intelligence agencies.

In March 2026, GamesRadar reported, citing Variety, that an AMC spokesperson said the network would not proceed with another season. The spokesperson also said AMC expected the organization and some characters to appear in future expressions of the franchise. That leaves possible franchise appearances open, but does not confirm a specific continuation, project, or character return.
