Restream’s guidance separates two issues: its own service does not impose a stream-duration limit, while YouTube’s archive behavior is described as limited to streams under 12 hours. A continuous 24/7 broadcast therefore should not be treated as one assured, complete replay. If viewers need a full-length recording, plan a separate recording and storage workflow rather than relying on a single YouTube archive.

How to connect YouTube to Restream
- Enable YouTube live streaming. Restream’s instructions require the YouTube channel to have live streaming enabled. For a newly enabled channel, Restream says YouTube requires phone verification and a 24-hour wait before the first stream; confirm current eligibility for the channel with YouTube.

Can IBM Video Streaming and Restream be used together?
Yes. IBM documents adding IBM Video Streaming to Restream as a custom RTMP destination, and says this capability requires a paid Restream subscription.
