Does the rule affect travel or watching away from home?
The household restriction is different from a simple rule that says Hulu can only be watched inside one building. Subscribers may encounter legitimate use cases away from home, such as traveling with a personal device. At the time of the research for this article, Hulu advertised Disney+ and Hulu bundles starting at $12.99 per month with ads and a premium bundle at $19.99 per month. These prices, plan names, offers, taxes, and regional availability are subject to change, so confirm the checkout page before relying on them.
- Check whether a specific Disney-billed arrangement qualifies for Extra Member. Disney’s Extra Member help page describes an option for certain Disney+ or bundle subscriptions. It says the extra member must be at least 18, live in the same country or region, and not already have an active Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN subscription. The page also lists exclusions, including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited bundles and Disney+, Hulu, HBO Max bundles. This is not a universal Hulu exemption to the household rule.
- Ask Hulu about a specific account problem. Support may be able to explain a device, home-network, billing, or access issue, but contacting support does not override the Subscriber Agreement.
What does Hulu + Live TV cost?
Hulu’s landing page currently advertises Hulu + Live TV with more than 100 channels and unlimited DVR storage for up to nine months. The page used for this article listed a price of $89.99 per month after any eligible trial. Live TV pricing, channel lineups, promotional offers, and regional availability are volatile; check Hulu’s current offer before publishing or purchasing.
