Short answer: Hulu + Live TV was listed at $89.99 per month in March 2026 coverage and combines live broadcast, cable, news and sports channels with Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN Select. Hulu’s current plan page still lists $89.99 for the ad-supported tier and $99.99 for the Premium tier, based on information checked in August 2026. Your local stations, regional sports networks and some ESPN programming depend on your ZIP code, rights restrictions and separate-app access.
Check Hulu’s official Live TV page before subscribing because prices, channels and device support change.

What Hulu + Live TV actually includes
This is a multichannel live-TV service, not simply Hulu with a few live streams. The subscription combines live broadcast and cable networks with Hulu’s on-demand catalog, Disney+ and ESPN services. Hulu and Disney+ are accessed through their respective experiences, while ESPN access can require the ESPN app.

Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN distinctions
- Hulu with ads: the on-demand Hulu library with advertising.
- Hulu Premium: removes ads from eligible on-demand Hulu titles, not from live channels.
- ESPN Select: included in the Live TV package.
- ESPN Unlimited: Hulu’s current presentation says subscribers can access it through the ESPN app; it is not interchangeable with ESPN Select.
Disney+ and ESPN content may require account activation and separate apps. “ESPN included” therefore does not mean every ESPN network, event or program appears inside Hulu.

How to check your local channels
- Open Hulu’s Live TV page.
- Select View channels in your area.
- Enter your home ZIP code.
- Review ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, regional sports and market-specific channels.
- If prompted, verify the exact home address and location permissions.
Repeat this check after moving. Travel and mobile viewing can affect local-channel access, and Hulu says some content is unavailable on certain devices.
Sports, ESPN and blackout limitations
The package is strongest for households that want ESPN-family channels, broadcast sports and Disney-owned entertainment together. However, ESPN Select, ESPN Unlimited and ESPN app content are separate concepts. Check the specific event, network and app before signing up.
- A channel being included does not guarantee every game carried by it.
- Regional, league, territorial and event-specific blackouts can apply.
- Regional sports availability is market-specific and can change during a subscription.
- Hulu’s Live TV sports lineup is separate from cheaper Disney+/Hulu/ESPN streaming bundles that do not include the full channel package.
DVR and everyday streaming features
Unlimited Cloud DVR
- Unlimited recording capacity is included at no extra charge.
- Recordings can be retained for up to nine months.
- You can record multiple programs at once and fast-forward through recorded content where permitted.
- DVR storage does not make ordinary on-demand titles permanent downloads.
- Some premium programming cannot be recorded; Hulu says HBO live content currently cannot be saved to Cloud DVR (Hulu’s HBO Max page).
Streams, profiles and downloads
Two simultaneous screens are included. Unlimited Screens expands in-home viewing and allows three mobile screens outside the home, according to Hulu. Individual profiles, personalized recommendations, favorites and the Live Guide help separate household viewing. Selected Hulu and Disney+ on-demand titles support downloads, subject to plan and device restrictions; live channels and DVR recordings are not presented as offline downloads.

Ads: what the $99.99 plan does and does not remove
The Premium tier primarily applies to eligible Hulu and Disney+ on-demand libraries. Live channels continue to carry their normal commercial breaks, and live or live-TV video-on-demand programming may remain ad-supported. It is inaccurate to call the $99.99 option a completely ad-free live-TV service.
Supported devices and technical requirements
Hulu lists support for Hulu.com on Mac and PC; iPhone and iPad; Android phones and tablets; Apple TV (fourth generation and later); Chromecast; selected Roku models; Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick and Fire Tablets; selected Samsung and LG televisions; Xbox 360, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S; PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5; Nintendo Switch; Android TV; and Echo Show. Model compatibility changes, so test the exact television or streaming box before canceling cable.
You also need reliable high-speed broadband. Mobile Live TV use can require location services, and data caps may affect heavy streaming.
