In either case, the full streaming service is normally watched through the Paramount+ app, not the Spectrum TV app.
Is Paramount+ included with Spectrum?
Current Spectrum plan pages list Paramount+ Essential as included with certain TV packages, including TV Select Signature, TV Select Plus, and TV Platinum offerings. “Included” means you generally need to activate and link the benefit; the Paramount+ app may not recognize your Spectrum account automatically.
Eligibility can depend on your exact plan, account, promotion, service address, and any legacy package. Check your Spectrum account or plan details before subscribing separately.
Essential versus Premium access
The Spectrum-included benefit is Paramount+ Essential. It is not the same as access to Paramount+ Premium through a Spectrum Paramount+ with SHOWTIME channel subscription.

If your Spectrum package includes the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME channel, Paramount says you may authenticate with your TV provider for the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan. That entitlement can include the full SHOWTIME catalog, downloads, commercial-free on-demand viewing, and live local CBS where supported. Simply having any Spectrum TV service does not automatically qualify you for this Premium access.
Spectrum internet-only customers may also be able to add Paramount+ for an additional charge. Availability and billing depend on the account, so confirm the current offer with Spectrum.
How to activate Paramount+ with Spectrum
- Confirm that your Spectrum account has an eligible TV plan or a Paramount+ with SHOWTIME entitlement.
- Open the official Spectrum Paramount+ activation page.
- Select Spectrum as your TV provider if prompted.
- Sign in with the primary Spectrum username and password.
- Approve the verification and account-linking prompts.
- Create a Paramount+ account or connect the benefit to an existing Paramount+ account when prompted.
- Open the Paramount+ app on your television or streaming device and select Sign In.
- Use the displayed QR code, activation URL, or code to complete sign-in on another device.
- Check the plan shown in your Paramount+ account before streaming.
If you already pay Paramount+ directly, inspect the account’s billing section before creating another subscription. Try to determine whether the Spectrum benefit can be linked to the existing account, and separately check whether any direct Paramount billing must be canceled. Do not assume that linking automatically stops a separately billed subscription.
How to install and watch Paramount+ on your TV
- Open your television or streaming device’s app store.
- Search for Paramount+.
- Install and launch the official app.
- Choose Sign In, rather than starting a new paid subscription.
- Scan the QR code, visit the activation address, or enter the on-screen code.
- Sign in with the Paramount+ account linked to Spectrum.
Paramount lists support for platforms including Roku, Samsung Smart TV, LG Smart TV, Vizio, Apple TV, Fire TV, Chromecast, Xumo, Xbox, PlayStation, iPhone, iPad, Android devices, and web browsers. Support can vary by model, operating-system version, and region, so check the current Paramount+ platform information if the app does not appear.

Can you watch Paramount+ through the Spectrum TV App?
The two apps serve different purposes:
- Spectrum TV App: Spectrum live channels, On Demand programming, and DVR content.
- Paramount+ app: Paramount+ originals, movies, catalog programming, and the features associated with your Paramount+ plan.
If your Spectrum package includes the linear Paramount+ with SHOWTIME channel, you may be able to watch that live channel through the Spectrum TV App or a Spectrum receiver. That does not necessarily provide the complete Paramount+ on-demand catalog or the same interface as the Paramount+ app.
Can you watch it on a Spectrum cable box?
A traditional Spectrum receiver may carry a linear Paramount+ with SHOWTIME channel if that channel is included in your package and local lineup. Do not assume, however, that every Spectrum cable box contains a native Paramount+ streaming app.
For the full Paramount+ service, use a supported smart TV, streaming device, game console, phone, tablet, or web browser. A Xumo Stream Box or another supported device can be useful when your television does not offer the Paramount+ app. Spectrum’s device information describes support for its own app, while Paramount’s platform list should be used to check Paramount+ compatibility separately.
What channel is Paramount+ on Spectrum?
There is no universal Spectrum channel number for Paramount+. Channel assignments vary by market and package. For example, Spectrum’s published regional lineups show different numbers for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME in different areas.

Use your local Spectrum on-screen guide or local channel lineup to find the linear channel. The Paramount+ app itself normally does not have a Spectrum channel number.
Paramount+ Essential versus Premium
The following reflects Paramount’s direct plan information and prices seen in August 2026. Spectrum-specific pricing, promotions, taxes, and upgrade options may differ.

Paramount’s current plan details are available on its signup page. The Spectrum-included Essential benefit is not literally free: it is bundled into an eligible paid Spectrum TV package.
Troubleshooting Spectrum Paramount+ activation
“My plan is eligible, but Paramount+ says I’m not subscribed”
- Verify the exact Spectrum TV package—not just Spectrum internet service.
- Check whether the Paramount+ benefit appears in your Spectrum account or plan details.
- Sign out of Paramount+ on the television or streaming device.
- Restart activation at paramountplus.com/partner/spectrum, rather than using a generic Paramount+ subscription flow.
- Use the primary Spectrum account login if provider verification rejects an additional household profile.
- Confirm that your service address, billing status, and Spectrum account information are current.
- Try a private browser window or a different browser.
- Delete and reinstall the Paramount+ app if it is retaining an old session.
If Spectrum confirms that your account is eligible but Paramount+ will not link, contact Paramount+ support. If the benefit is missing from your Spectrum account, contact Spectrum support first. Spectrum’s published support information should be checked for current phone hours and contact details.

The Paramount+ app is missing
Search the television or streaming device’s own app store, not the Spectrum TV App. Then update the device software, restart the device and router, and search again. An outdated TV operating system, unsupported model, or unsupported app-store region can prevent the app from appearing.
If necessary, use a supported Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Xumo device, Chromecast, game console, phone, tablet, or browser. Spectrum’s warnings about older televisions apply to the Spectrum TV App and should not automatically be treated as a Paramount+ limitation.
The activation code fails
Generate a new code in the Paramount+ app and enter it promptly at the displayed activation address. Make sure you are signing in to the Paramount+ account linked through Spectrum, not a different direct-billed account. If the problem continues, reinstall the app and repeat provider activation in a private browser window.
You canceled Spectrum
Provider-linked access is tied to the qualifying Spectrum service. When that service or the qualifying Paramount+ with SHOWTIME channel ends, provider-based Paramount+ access ends as well. You must subscribe separately through Paramount+ or its app if you want to continue watching. See Paramount’s TV-provider guidance.

Why am I still seeing ads?
Essential is ad-supported. Even Premium is not completely free of advertising during live television: Paramount says live TV contains ads, and plans may show trailers or sponsorship messages. Premium’s commercial-free description applies to on-demand content.

Use the Spectrum benefit if you already have an eligible TV plan and Essential’s ad-supported catalog meets your needs. This avoids adding another direct subscription, but access remains tied to your Spectrum service and may change if the package or promotion changes.
Direct Paramount+ billing may be more suitable if you have Spectrum internet only, canceled Spectrum TV, want independent billing, or need Premium features that Spectrum does not provide through your package. Before changing plans, compare the total Spectrum bill after promotions expire rather than valuing the bundled app in isolation.
Do not buy a streaming device solely for Paramount+ until you check your existing TV. If the built-in platform is unsupported, choose a device you already own—or one that also supports the Spectrum TV App and your other services.
