What you need to vote
- A free NBCUniversal Profile, created with an email address or a supported sign-in such as Google.
- Access to either the official NBC voting page or The Voice Official App.
- A location in the United States or Puerto Rico.
- An open voting window during a Live Show.
Voting is not generally available during the Blind Auditions, Battles, or Knockouts. NBC ties viewer voting to the Live Shows, when the show’s current rules determine which artists are eligible and how votes are counted.
How to vote online
- Open NBC’s official The Voice voting page during an active voting period.
- Sign in to your NBCUniversal Profile. If you do not have one, follow the on-screen instructions to create a free profile.
- Select the artist or artists you want to support.
- Use the on-screen control to submit your selection.
- Check that the page shows a submitted or confirmed state before closing it.
The page may display the methods, eligible artists, voting controls, and rules that apply to that particular episode. Follow those current instructions rather than relying on a vote limit or deadline from an earlier season.
How to vote with The Voice Official App
- Download The Voice Official App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in with the NBCUniversal Profile connected to the app.
- Open the voting feature when the Live Shows begin and voting is enabled.
- Choose your favorite artist and submit the vote using the app’s voting control.
- Review the app’s status message to confirm that your selection was recorded.
NBC describes the app as a voting option as well as a companion to the program. Depending on the current version and season, it may also include artist information, polls, trivia, play-along features, push notifications, and a leaderboard. Those features are separate from the vote itself, so make sure you use the designated voting control.

App requirements
NBC’s Help Center currently lists support for iOS 16 or later and Android 10.0 or later. Requirements can change, so check the current app-store listing or NBC help documentation if the app cannot be installed or updated. You do not need to buy a new phone or tablet to vote: the website is an alternative if your device does not support the app.
When does voting open and close?
Voting is associated with the Live Shows, but there is no single permanent schedule that applies to every season or episode. The active NBC voting page and the official rules for the current episode determine:
- when voting opens;
- when voting closes;
- which artists are eligible;
- how many votes are permitted; and
- whether the episode uses any special voting procedure.
Check NBC’s voting page close to the broadcast instead of assuming that voting is open throughout the episode or that a previous season’s deadline still applies. If the page does not show an active voting interface, the window may not have opened yet or may already be closed.
Can you change your vote?
NBC says that you can change your selection while the voting window remains open. Treat your choice as a provisional selection until the window closes: return to the voting interface, revise the artist selection if the page allows it, and confirm the updated state. After the applicable voting period ends, changes are no longer available.

Who is eligible to vote?
NBC states that voting for the U.S. edition of The Voice is available in the United States and Puerto Rico only. Being able to watch the program from another country does not necessarily make you eligible to vote. Viewers outside those locations may see an ineligibility message.
Eligibility is also dependent on timing and account access. A viewer in an eligible location can still be unable to vote if the Live Show window is closed or if they are not signed in to an NBCUniversal Profile.
Troubleshooting voting problems
“You are not eligible to vote”
Check these issues first:
- Confirm that you are physically in the United States or Puerto Rico.
- Check whether the current Live Show voting window is open.
- Make sure you are signed in to an NBCUniversal Profile.
- Read the active episode’s rules for any additional eligibility requirements.
If you are outside the permitted voting locations, changing from the app to the website will not make the vote eligible.
The voting page will not load
Try refreshing the official NBC page, checking your internet connection, and signing in again. If the website continues to fail, NBC recommends using The Voice Official App as an alternative. Conversely, if the app is unavailable on your device, use the official web voting page instead.

I cannot sign in or I see an existing-profile message
Use the original sign-in method and account details associated with the profile. An NBCUniversal Profile may be tied to the exact email address, Google account, or Apple account used during registration. Creating another profile can leave you signed into the wrong account, so try the original method before making a new one.
The app and television broadcast are out of sync
NBC explains that the app is timed to the NBC television broadcast feed. Digital live streams—including NBC’s app or website and some live-TV services—may be delayed by a minute or more. That can make play-along screens appear ahead of or behind the broadcast you are watching.
This timing issue does not by itself establish whether voting is available. For that question, rely on the voting interface’s displayed status and the current official rules, not solely on what is happening on your screen.
Voting is different from watching
You may be able to watch an episode on a digital service at a different time from the live broadcast, but delayed or next-day viewing does not guarantee that voting will still be open. Because the voting window is episode-specific, check NBC’s active voting page before assuming that an on-demand episode can be accompanied by a vote.

If you plan to vote, use an eligible live-show viewing option when possible and keep the official NBC voting page or app open during the relevant window. Availability of live viewing services varies by geography, season, provider, and subscription, so verify those details separately.

The show’s season and episode rules control the details. NBC’s publicly available materials confirm the official website and app as voting access points, but a general help page should not be treated as a permanent schedule. For the most accurate result, open the official voting page during the Live Shows and follow the instructions displayed there.

Can I vote for The Voice from outside the United States?
For the U.S. edition, NBC states that voting is available only in the United States and Puerto Rico. Viewers in other locations may be able to watch the show but are not eligible to vote through the U.S. voting system.

Can I vote during the Blind Auditions?
Voting is tied to the Live Shows and is not generally available during the Blind Auditions, Battles, or Knockouts.
