YouTube does not identify a special accounting category for loop streams, so use the reports and stream or content identifiers available in your account rather than assuming every dollar can be exported under a “loop stream” label.
Where to find loop-stream revenue in YouTube Studio
- Open YouTube Studio and select Analytics > Revenue. Labels or layout can vary as YouTube rolls out Studio changes; its Analytics guide noted an updated experience gradually rolling out from July 2026. YouTube’s revenue help page describes the relevant reports.
- Review “How you make money.” This revenue-source report separates estimated revenue categories, including ads, Supers, and memberships.
- Open the content-performance report. Use it to inspect what individual videos, Shorts, and live streams earned when the report provides a stream-level row or breakdown.
- Set a consistent date range and record the stream or content identifier. A continuous loop may span dates or sessions; keep the date range and identifier with each entry so your own records remain interpretable.
Revenue can take two days to appear in Analytics. The reports cover YouTube live streams generally; they do not establish that all earnings from a loop will be separately attributable to one stream or available in a dedicated loop-stream export.
Record ads, Super Chats, and memberships separately
Use the source categories in Studio rather than treating total estimated revenue as ad income. Keep separate entries for each revenue type, and note when the platform does not provide a stream-level attribution for a particular amount.

A useful reconciliation sheet can include date range, stream or content identifier, revenue source, currency, Studio estimate, finalized AdSense for YouTube amount, and the date you checked each figure. These are record-keeping fields, not a claim that YouTube offers one dedicated loop-income export.

Estimated revenue is not finalized earnings
Use Analytics to monitor estimated revenue while a stream is running or after it ends. YouTube says estimates can be adjusted for invalid traffic, copyright claims or disputes, and certain ad campaign types. Its guidance describes an initial adjustment about one week after revenue appears and another in the middle of the following month.
For month-end reconciliation, preserve the Studio estimate and compare it with finalized previous-month earnings in AdSense for YouTube. YouTube says finalized earnings are generally added between the 7th and 12th of the next month, where finalized earnings and withholding details are visible. Timing and adjustments are platform guidance and can depend on account circumstances.
- Keep the estimate as an estimate; do not overwrite it silently when the finalized figure arrives.
- Record the finalized amount separately, with the period and currency, and note when you reconciled it.
- Use the creator’s own AdSense for YouTube account for the final monthly figure rather than assuming an Analytics estimate is the payment amount.
Do not confuse ad revenue, estimated revenue, RPM, and CPM
YouTube defines estimated ad revenue as revenue from ads on videos. Estimated revenue is broader and can include memberships, YouTube Premium, and Super Chat. RPM is a creator-focused metric: revenue after YouTube’s share across revenue sources relative to views. CPM is advertiser-focused, applies to ads and YouTube Premium, and is based on monetized playbacks before the creator revenue share. Their definitions and denominators differ, so RPM and CPM are not interchangeable or substitutes for the separate source amounts you are recording. Why views do not tell you how much a loop earned
A live-stream view does not mean an ad was served. YouTube says live-stream ad slots are not guaranteed to serve, and ad delivery depends on its systems. Keep view counts, ad impressions, and ad earnings as distinct measures; do not estimate revenue by multiplying views by an assumed rate. Revenue shares and taxes depend on your account terms
YouTube’s partner overview describes a 55% share of net Watch Page ad revenue under the Watch Page Monetization Module and 70% of net revenue for memberships and Supers under the Commerce Product Module. These are module terms described by YouTube, not a guaranteed take-home amount for every creator: the applicable agreements and enabled modules govern an account. Check your own Studio agreement. For Supers, YouTube says the share is calculated after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees are deducted; YouTube currently covers transaction costs such as credit-card fees. YouTube’s partner overview says sales tax, VAT, and GST are not revenue to Google and are not part of the partner revenue-share calculation. Your own tax obligations depend on your jurisdiction; consult local tax authorities or qualified tax help for personal tax advice.
