YouTube supplies the upcoming watch page; the encoder sends the prerecorded program as a live feed. The video file alone does not become a livestream when uploaded.
What you need before scheduling
- A YouTube channel with livestreaming enabled. First-time activation may take up to 24 hours, so enable it before the day you plan to broadcast.
- A finished video file, with Tamil narration and any music or sound effects cleared for the live transmission and archived replay.
- A streaming encoder, such as OBS Studio, and an internet connection capable of sending the video reliably.
- A clear program plan: the relaxation theme, sequence, intended duration, and whether viewers should expect spoken guidance or quiet practice.
OBS Studio is free and open-source software for video recording and live streaming. YouTube’s encoder workflow uses a server URL and stream key to connect the software to your scheduled event.
Schedule the livestream in YouTube Studio
- Enable livestreaming. Complete YouTube’s livestream activation for your channel. If this is the first activation, allow up to 24 hours for it to become available.
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, go to Live Control Room and select the Manage tab, then schedule a stream.
- Enter the event details. Add a specific title and description, choose visibility, and set the date and start time. Make clear that this is a prerecorded Tamil relaxation session being presented as a livestream, rather than a real-time class with live instruction.
- Review the event settings. Check the audience and other applicable metadata and stream settings before saving. The scheduled event can appear as upcoming, and viewers can opt in to a reminder.
- Copy the connection details. In the event’s stream settings, copy the YouTube server URL and stream key into your encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: do not publish or share it. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder.
Prepare the prerecorded video in an encoder
Load and check the program
In OBS, add the video to a scene using a media playback source and set it to play the program you prepared. Configure the scene so the video fills the intended frame without stretching or unwanted black bars. Listen to the Tamil audio from beginning to end, including transitions, and check that narration and background music are comfortably balanced. If the video is meant to guide relaxation, make sure its pacing and any pauses are intentional.
Use YouTube’s encoder setup guidance for the stream connection and settings. Choose a resolution and bitrate that your upload connection can sustain consistently; there is no bitrate that is right for every source and connection. Confirm the encoder is sending the intended audio and video, rather than a desktop, camera, or blank scene.

Rehearse privately or unlisted
Before the public event, make a private or unlisted test stream and check the image, Tamil audio, stream stability, and playback behavior. Watch the preview in Live Control Room from another device or browser if possible. A test can reveal issues such as an unexpectedly silent track, wrong scene, poor framing, or an unstable connection without making them part of the scheduled program.
Start, monitor, and end the broadcast
- Connect early. Open the scheduled event and start the encoder in advance of the announced start time. Wait for the Live Control Room preview to show the incoming feed.
- Inspect the preview. Confirm that the correct video is playing, Tamil audio is audible, and the stream is accessible. Monitor the feed during the event, including sound and picture quality.
- Start the event. When the preview is right and you are ready, start the livestream from the encoder and use the Live Control Room controls as needed for the scheduled event.
- End cleanly. At the end of the program, stop sending content from the encoder. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; check the resulting replay and its visibility after the broadcast.
Clear music and video rights before going live
You are responsible for having the necessary rights for the content in a livestream, including music rights. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. If it detects a match, it may replace the feed with a placeholder, warn you, interrupt the stream, or terminate it if matched material continues. A license alone may not prevent interruption: some rights holders need to allowlist your channel.

Check permissions for every element, not just the main video: music, sound effects, photographs, footage, artwork, and any third-party clips. Confirm that the permission covers live transmission and the archived replay, and retain the license, purchase record, or written permission. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility for the required rights on the creator.

Make the sessions distinct and authored
Scheduling a prerecorded video does not by itself make a channel eligible for monetization. YouTube’s monetization policies say highly repetitive or mass-produced content with little educational value, commentary, narrative, or variation is not eligible. Reused content is assessed across the channel, and reviewers may consider videos, the channel description, titles, and descriptions.

For a Tamil relaxation series, make the creator’s contribution apparent: use original Tamil narration where appropriate, give each session a distinct theme or sequence, and describe accurately what viewers will experience. Avoid uploading nearly identical loops with only superficial changes. Monetization is never guaranteed by using a livestream format. Eligible channels may earn from ads and, where available, fan-funding features such as Super Chat, Super Stickers, or memberships; eligibility and policy compliance apply, and ad slots are not guaranteed to serve.
