Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteTo run Tamil church worship videos continuously on YouTube with OBS, loop one local video with a Media Source or arrange multiple files in a playlist-capable source, then connect OBS to an active YouTube Live broadcast. These are separate steps: looping a file in OBS does not start a YouTube stream. Before going live, confirm that you have permission for the recordings, songs, lyrics, and visuals—and for any archive YouTube makes available.
Before setting up OBS, clear the rights
A Tamil or devotional subject does not by itself give a church permission to rebroadcast a song or video. Check who controls each work and whether the permissions cover the planned uses.
- Confirm rights for the composition, performance, sound recording, lyrics, and video or other visuals included in each file.
- Check that permission covers public live streaming on YouTube. Permission to stream a church’s live performance does not automatically cover a third party’s prerecorded commercial recording or video.
- If you plan to leave YouTube’s archive or an on-demand copy available, confirm that the permission also covers that use.
- Verify the relevant territory, rightsholder, and license terms with the rights holders or licensing body. General church guidance does not establish permission for a particular Tamil song, recording, church, or country.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match may replace the picture with a placeholder and trigger a warning; if the material remains, YouTube may interrupt or terminate the stream. YouTube also says that licensed material can still be interrupted if the rightsholder has not allowlisted the channel. If a stream is archived, a Content ID claim may arrive after it ends. See YouTube Help: Copyright issues with live streams.
Choose how OBS should repeat the videos
One local video
For a single file, the cited OBS workflow uses a Media Source with its Loop option enabled. Add the source to a scene and check that the video and audio play as intended. Confirm the control’s name and behavior in your installed OBS version.

Several local videos
For multiple files, the workflow guide describes an OBS VLC Video source containing the files in a playlist, with playlist looping enabled. Arrange the files in the intended sequence, then check that each plays and that the playlist repeats as expected. This source setup may depend on the installed OBS version and VLC availability; verify it in your current installation.
The third-party source guide for these source steps is available at OBS Studio tutorial: How to loop videos. Treat its labels as a guide, not a guarantee that every version has the same controls.

Set up the scene and confirm the loop
- In OBS, create or select a scene for the worship program.
- Add the Media Source for one file, or the playlist-capable VLC Video source for several local files, as described above.
- Inspect the scene preview. Confirm the picture fits the intended layout, the audio is audible, and the playlist order is correct.
- Let the media reach its end and verify that the single file or playlist begins again. Correct any playback or ordering problem before connecting to YouTube.
A source looping inside OBS only controls local playback. You still need to select or create a YouTube Live broadcast and send OBS’s program to it.
Connect OBS to YouTube Live
- In YouTube Studio, select or create the Live broadcast you intend to use. Follow the current account eligibility and broadcast setup steps shown in YouTube Studio.
- In OBS, configure the stream destination using the connection details for that YouTube broadcast, such as its stream key. Keep the key private; anyone with access to it may be able to send video to your broadcast.
- Start streaming from OBS, then check the live broadcast in YouTube Studio to confirm that the video and sound arrive correctly.
- Monitor YouTube Studio while the stream is live for copyright notices, warnings, or interruptions.
The OBS community guide describes selecting or creating a broadcast and starting the stream, but its account eligibility details were last updated in 2021. Use YouTube Studio’s current instructions for account status and interface steps: OBS Studio overview guide.

Decide whether to keep an archive
Live permission and archive permission are not necessarily the same. YouTube says archived live broadcasts may receive Content ID claims after the stream has ended. Before leaving an archive available, confirm that your rights cover the recording’s on-demand availability as well as its live transmission. If they do not, do not assume that a live-stream license settles the archive question.

The video repeats in OBS but YouTube is not live
Looping is a source playback setting, not a broadcast connection. Select or create the YouTube Live broadcast, configure OBS for that destination, and start streaming from OBS.

A playlist does not play or repeat as expected
Check that you used a playlist-capable source, that the intended files are in its playlist, and that playlist looping is enabled. Verify the behavior in your installed OBS version and check playback before going live.
YouTube shows a copyright warning, placeholder, or interruption
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. Review the notice and the rights for the specific material. A license may not prevent interruption if the rightsholder has not allowlisted your channel; contact the relevant rightsholder or licensing body to resolve the issue rather than assuming the devotional context exempts the stream.
