You can run a continuous YouTube stream of recorded coaching classes from the cloud by pairing a cloud video playout service with a YouTube Live stream. The service plays your recordings and sends them to YouTube using your stream URL and key; after setup, your own computer does not need to stay on. For a YouTube-only stream, StreamNeo is the first option to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, supports any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives you a free first day.
What you need for a continuous cloud stream
The setup has two separate parts: a cloud playout service to schedule or loop your recordings, and YouTube Live to host the live watch page. The playout service acts as the encoder, sending video to YouTube. YouTube lists Gyre as a cloud-based option for 24/7 streaming of prerecorded videos; OBS is also listed, but it is encoder software rather than a managed cloud playlist service (YouTube’s encoder list).
- A YouTube channel eligible for live streaming.
- Recordings and embedded material you have permission to broadcast.
- A cloud playout service, or a cloud infrastructure setup you operate yourself.
- The YouTube Live server URL and stream key for the event.
- A plan to monitor playback and recover from an encoder, file, or connection failure.
Enable live streaming before the planned launch
YouTube requires channel verification and no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable access well before a scheduled class stream (YouTube live-streaming eligibility).
Choose how to run the cloud playout
Managed service: StreamNeo
For a YouTube-only stream of uploaded coaching recordings, StreamNeo keeps the playout in the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a live camera feed. Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. The same features apply to every plan; only the billing period changes.

- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
StreamNeo supports uploaded video up to 4K 60fps without re-encoding or quality tiers. Its first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Shorter and longer billing options are available; UPI and cards work in India, while card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support.
Other approaches and what they require
- Gyre: YouTube’s encoder listing identifies it as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 prerecorded YouTube streams, including operation without a dedicated PC or camera. Confirm current pricing, service regions, playlist and restart behavior, and support directly with the provider; those details are not established by YouTube’s listing (YouTube’s encoder list).
- Custom AWS pipeline: AWS documents MediaLive for encoding, MediaPackage for ingest and packaging, and CloudFront for delivery to viewers. This is a broader media-delivery architecture, not simply a YouTube encoder feed, and requires decisions about service availability, configuration, and cost (AWS live-streaming solution overview).
- Google Cloud Live Stream API: Its overview describes live SRT or RTMP input transcoded to HLS or DASH and saved in Cloud Storage. It does not establish direct YouTube output or a prerecorded playlist scheduler, so additional configuration or an encoder stage may be needed (Google Cloud Live Stream API overview).
- OBS on a local computer: YouTube lists OBS as open-source streaming and recording software. It can be a local fallback, but a computer running the encoder must remain available; OBS alone is not a cloud-hosted 24/7 playout service (YouTube’s encoder list).
Compare services on playlist scheduling and restart behavior, monitoring and recovery, support, service region, whether you need a separate HLS or DASH feed for a website, and the cost of storage and outbound traffic. Verify features with the provider rather than assuming every cloud encoder supports schedules, emergency slates, or automatic restarts.

Prepare the coaching recordings and clear rights
- Confirm permission to replay the complete recording. Check rights for the instructor’s lesson, participant voices or images, slides, music, clips, and other third-party material. YouTube’s live content must follow its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service; the platform guidance does not establish a special exemption for prerecorded coaching classes (YouTube live-streaming requirements).
- Review privacy and suitability. Remove or obtain approval for participant details, student questions, contact information, or other class content that should not be broadcast publicly.
- Test each file and the playlist. Check that video and audio play correctly, titles and ordering are right, and transitions work before starting a long-running stream. If the service converts files, check its accepted formats and output settings; YouTube explains that an encoder converts video into a digital format suitable for streaming (YouTube encoder guidance).
- Decide how the schedule should behave. Confirm whether recordings should loop in order, repeat individually, or change at set times. Check how the chosen service handles a missing file, playlist end, or encoder restart.
Create a YouTube Live stream and connect the encoder
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Live Control Room. Create a stream or schedule one. Set the title, description, audience, visibility, and intended start time for the class channel.
- Copy the ingest details. In the stream settings, copy YouTube’s server URL and stream key. YouTube’s instruction is: “To start streaming, enter your YouTube Live server URL and stream key into your encoder” (YouTube encoder setup).
- Enter them in the cloud playout service. Select a YouTube preset if provided; otherwise paste the server URL into the server or ingest field and the stream key into the key field. Choose RTMPS where supported.
- Protect the key. Treat the stream key as a password. Do not show it in screenshots, public documents, or repositories. If it is exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder configuration.
- Start the encoder and inspect the preview. Confirm that the intended video and audio appear in Live Control Room before starting the broadcast for viewers.
- Start or schedule the YouTube broadcast. Follow the Live Control Room’s current controls for the stream type you created. Verify that the live watch page plays correctly from a viewer’s perspective.
Use RTMPS when available
RTMPS is RTMP carried over SSL/TLS. YouTube’s developer guidance specifies a valid YouTube ingestion endpoint and port 443 for the encrypted connection (YouTube RTMPS ingestion guide). If your service offers an RTMPS endpoint, use it rather than an unencrypted ingest option.
Monitor the broadcast and stop it deliberately
- Watch the cloud service’s encoder and output status as well as the YouTube Live Control Room preview.
- Check picture, sound, playlist order, and whether the stream remains connected when one class recording ends and the next begins.
- Have a recovery procedure for a stopped encoder, unavailable source file, replaced stream key, or lost cloud connection. The cited platform setup guides explain connection and controls; they do not guarantee a third-party provider’s continuous uptime.
- For an intentional stop, stop the encoder output and end the event in Live Control Room. YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived; check current Studio limits and archive requirements before planning a continuous schedule (YouTube encoder guidance).
Plan for India: regions, billing, and audience delivery
The workflow does not require the encoder to be physically located in India, but your cloud provider’s available regions, latency, billing terms, taxes, data-residency requirements, and support arrangements need checking against your organization’s needs. For StreamNeo, UPI and cards are available in India. For other providers, confirm the current account and payment terms directly.

Do not treat a US cloud architecture example as an India price or a cost for a simple YouTube contribution feed. AWS’s published example estimates USD 69.74 for one hour with about 1,000 viewers at SD-540p, using US East (N. Virginia), standard pricing, and stated bitrate and 99% cache-hit assumptions. Its breakdown is USD 1.99 for MediaLive, USD 0.11 for MediaPackage ingest, USD 0.40 for packaging/origination, and USD 67.24 for CloudFront delivery (AWS cost example). The estimate includes delivery to viewers through a CDN; it is not a quote for India or for sending a stream only to YouTube. If you operate a YouTube-only feed, model the playout or encoding service, storage, and its outbound traffic under the provider’s current terms rather than adding a separate viewer CDN you do not use.
