Yes. Disney+ lets you remove movies and shows from the Continue Watching row without deleting your saved watch progress. On a computer, hover over the title and choose Remove; in the mobile app, use the title’s three-dot menu; on a TV-connected device, press and hold the title or use its Details page. Disney began rolling out the feature globally on March 24, 2025, although it is not available on every supported device and does not apply to live events. Remove a title on a computer
- Go to DisneyPlus.com and sign in.
- Find the Continue Watching row on the Disney+ home page.
- Move your pointer over the movie or show. The controls appear on the title card.
- Select the Remove icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select Remove again in the confirmation prompt.
If you do not see the icon, keep the pointer over the card; it may be hidden until the card is active.
Remove a title in the iPhone, iPad, or Android app
- Open the Disney+ app and select the profile whose row you want to change.
- On the home screen, scroll to Continue Watching.
- Tap the three-dot menu beside the title.
- Tap Remove, then tap Remove again to confirm.
Disney says the control is not available on every supported mobile device, so the menu may differ by device, region, or app version.
Remove a title on a smart TV or streaming device
Method 1: Use the Continue Watching row
- Open Disney+ and go to Continue Watching.
- Highlight the movie or show.
- Press and hold the remote’s select, OK, or equivalent button. The required hold and button vary by device.
- Choose Remove and confirm.
Method 2: Use the title’s Details page
- Select the title to open its Details page.
- Find the Remove icon on the right side of the page.
- Select Remove, then confirm.
This second route can help when the Continue Watching card does not show a context menu. Disney documents these controls for TV-connected devices, but does not promise identical behavior on every Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, console, or smart-TV model.

What removal changes—and what it does not
Removing a title clears its card from the Continue Watching row. Disney says it does not delete your watch progress, so you can normally return to the title later and resume from the saved position, subject to the same profile, account, and catalog availability.
This is not a command to erase viewing history, delete a profile, or remove every record associated with a series. Disney’s instructions describe removing the displayed movie or show title card; they do not establish that every season or episode history is erased. Playing the title again or creating new viewing activity may cause it to appear in Continue Watching again.

If the Remove option is missing
- Check the item type. Disney’s Help Centre says Remove from Continue Watching is unavailable for live events.
- Check the device. The feature is not available on every supported mobile or TV-connected device. Try DisneyPlus.com in a browser, the mobile app, or another supported TV-connected device.
- Open Details. On a TV, select the title and look for the Remove icon on its Details page rather than relying on the row menu.
- Check the profile. Continue Watching is tied to the currently selected profile. If another person watched the title on a different profile, switch to that profile to manage its row.
- Allow for layout differences. Depending on the interface, look for a Remove icon, three-dot menu, long-press/context menu, or the Details page. Labels can vary by market and app version.
Disney’s official removal instructions do not require clearing app data, reinstalling the app, fast-forwarding to the end, changing parental controls, or deleting your account. Those actions can have unrelated side effects and are not dependable substitutes for the Remove control.
Continue Watching is not Watchlist
Continue Watching is the home-screen section for titles Disney+ believes you can resume. Watchlist is a separate saved-content feature. Removing a card from Continue Watching should not be described as removing the title from Watchlist; manage that list separately using Disney’s Watchlist help. When the title still appears
First confirm that you removed it from the intended profile and that the app or website has refreshed. If the title was played again, Disney+ may have added it back because of the new activity. A title leaving Continue Watching also does not restore it if it has left the Disney+ catalog.

Does removing a show erase its viewing history?
No. Disney says the action removes the title from the row while preserving watch progress.
Can I remove a whole series?
Use Remove on the title card Disney+ displays. Disney does not state that this erases every episode, season, or viewing-history entry for the series.

Why is the title back after I removed it?
Playing it again or creating new viewing activity can cause Disney+ to place it back in Continue Watching.
