To multistream with Streamlabs Desktop, connect your platforms under Settings → Stream, choose the destinations in the Go Live window, enter the stream details, and select Confirm and Go Live. Streamlabs’ free Dual Output supports one vertical and one horizontal destination; streaming to three or more destinations, or to multiple destinations with the same orientation, requires Streamlabs Ultra, according to its current support guide.
Before you start
- Install and open Streamlabs Desktop, then sign in to the platform accounts you want to connect. Streamlabs’ Getting Started with Streamlabs Desktop guide covers initial setup.
- Confirm each platform account is allowed to go live and meets that platform’s current requirements. Streamlabs notes that TikTok LIVE requires account approval; eligibility and regional rules vary by platform.
- Prepare a title, description, and any destination-specific information, such as category or tags. These may differ from one platform to another.
Set up a multistream in Streamlabs Desktop
- Connect destinations. In Streamlabs Desktop, open Settings → Stream. Link the accounts or add the destinations you want to use. The available destinations depend on Streamlabs’ current support and your account permissions.
- Select destinations for this broadcast. Open Go Live and enable each platform you want to receive the stream. Connecting an account does not by itself mean it is selected for every broadcast.
- Enter stream information. Add your title and description, then fill in any destination-specific fields. Categories can differ by service, and advanced settings may expose additional options, such as Twitch tags.
- Review and start. Check the selected destinations and their details, then choose Confirm and Go Live. The exact confirmation screen can vary with the connected platforms.

Which destinations and chat actions are supported?
Streamlabs’ current multistream page lists Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Kick, Facebook, Instagram, Patreon, and X, with additional destinations available through custom RTMP connections. The actual options depend on your account access and the current app configuration. A custom RTMP destination generally requires details supplied by that service, including a server URL and stream key; treat the key as a password and do not share it publicly.
Chat features differ by platform. Streamlabs currently says you can read and post comments for YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook Pages, and read chat for Kick, X, and Facebook Profiles. Confirm the desired read or post action in the app before relying on it, since support can change. The destination list and cloud-routing description are on Streamlabs’ multistream page.

Is Streamlabs multistream free?
Part of it is. Streamlabs’ free Dual Output allows one vertical and one horizontal destination at the same time—for example, a vertical TikTok output and a horizontal YouTube output. It does not mean every two-destination combination is free: multiple destinations with the same orientation, or three or more destinations, require Ultra under Streamlabs’ free multistream guide.

Does multistreaming need more bandwidth?
Streamlabs describes its multistream service as cloud-routed: your PC sends one output to Streamlabs’ servers, which forward it to the selected platforms. Its Dual Output feature sends two outputs from the computer—one horizontal and one vertical. Streamlabs says cloud routing avoids the extra upload bandwidth that can result when local software separately encodes and uploads for each destination. That is a description of its service architecture, not a measured guarantee for every computer, internet connection, or broadcast.
Regardless of routing, you still need a stable connection for the output or outputs your setup sends, and the platforms must be able to receive them. If your stream is unstable, check the connection and destination status first; adding destinations does not fix an unreliable source connection.
