Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →You can broadcast a prerecorded yoga nidra video as a YouTube Live stream by creating an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, then sending the video from an India-based VPS running encoder software such as FFmpeg. The VPS does not make the stream automatically reliable: you must verify your channel’s live access, rights, outbound connection, encoder settings and recovery plan. YouTube recommends RTMPS when available; FFmpeg’s -re option paces file input in real time, but a complete looping command depends on the specific file and setup.
Before you start: live access, rights and a VPS
Confirm the channel can stream
YouTube says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to enable live streaming. Enabling a first live stream can take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until the planned broadcast. Check the current requirements in YouTube’s live-streaming access guidance.
Clear the video and soundtrack for live use
You need the rights required to broadcast the entire recording worldwide, including any music, narration, ambient audio and third-party visuals. Permission to watch a recording or publish it as an ordinary video does not necessarily grant permission to rebroadcast it live. YouTube’s Terms of Service require the necessary rights, including music rights. A rights issue can interrupt the stream or lead to enforcement.
Check the VPS rather than assuming its location guarantees performance
The VPS is the remote computer that stores or accesses the video and runs the encoder. Being in India does not by itself guarantee a better route to YouTube, reliability or sufficient upload capacity. Check your hosting provider’s current terms, outbound bandwidth limits, transfer allowances and recovery options; then test actual outbound throughput and stability from the instance you intend to use. No particular Indian provider, plan, price or capacity is established here.

Create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio
- Open the encoder workflow. In YouTube Studio, select Create, then Go Live. Create or schedule a stream using the encoder option. YouTube’s current walkthrough is Create a live stream with an encoder.
- Copy the ingest details. YouTube displays a stream URL and stream key. Enter them in your encoder’s streaming output settings. The URL is the destination; the key identifies the stream YouTube should receive.
- Keep the key secret. Treat it like a password. Do not publish it in a command, screenshot, source repository or support post. If it is exposed, reset it in Live Control Room before broadcasting again. See YouTube’s guidance on stream keys.
- Choose RTMPS if the encoder supports it. YouTube recommends RTMPS, an encrypted connection to the ingestion service. Use the RTMPS server address shown for your stream rather than guessing or copying an address from another setup.
Run the prerecorded file from the VPS
Understand real-time pacing before attempting a loop
For file input, FFmpeg’s -re option reads at the file’s native frame rate; it is equivalent to -readrate 1. That pacing is useful when the output needs to proceed at live speed. It does not, by itself, create a loop or prove that a particular file, codec, audio track, muxer and YouTube output configuration will work. See the FFmpeg documentation.
A looped encoder setup also needs to handle the end of the file, compatible audio and video streams, output encoding or copying, and interruption/reconnection behavior. Those details depend on the media and FFmpeg build. No complete FFmpeg looping command has been validated for this setup, so do not treat a generic command as guaranteed. Test against a copy of your actual video and check the output preview and health before relying on it.

Protect credentials and verify the input
- Use a placeholder while preparing scripts or notes; never embed a real stream key in material that may be shared.
- Confirm the VPS can read the full video and that the intended audio is present, audible and synchronized.
- Keep the process under supervision for a test run long enough to catch file-end behavior, audio gaps and connection instability.
- Check the provider’s own process-management and restart options. A VPS does not automatically restart a failed encoder unless you configure or arrange that behavior.
Test in YouTube and monitor the live session
YouTube recommends testing before the event, checking the preview and stream-health messages, and selecting a bitrate supported by the actual upload connection. YouTube transcodes the incoming feed for viewers on different devices and networks; a higher source bitrate is not a substitute for a stable connection. Use the encoder’s output settings and YouTube’s current live encoder settings guidance to choose a supported resolution and bitrate for your content and connection.
- Start the encoder on the VPS and wait for YouTube Studio to show the incoming preview.
- Check stream-health notices and confirm both picture and audio behave as intended. Include representative movement and the quietest audio sections in the test.
- When the preview and health are satisfactory, start the live broadcast in Live Control Room if the workflow requires it.
- Continue monitoring the VPS process and YouTube’s stream health. A dropped connection or stopped encoder needs attention; neither the server location nor
-reis a recovery mechanism.
Choose a stream length that fits your archive needs
If you want YouTube’s automatic archive, plan to end the broadcast before it reaches 12 hours and keep a separate local recording if the archive matters. YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; if a stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all. This is not a guarantee that every shorter stream will archive. Read YouTube’s archive guidance.

Understand monetization and repeated-content limits
A continuous loop of the same prerecorded session is not automatically eligible for monetization. YouTube’s monetization policies caution against highly repetitive or interchangeable content with little educational value, commentary, narrative or variation; reused-content review applies to a channel as a whole. An original guided practice may be different from a minimally varied loop, but eligibility cannot be predicted from the format alone. Review YouTube’s channel monetization policies and do not treat a live broadcast as a shortcut around them.

Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube does not show an incoming preview | Live access is not enabled, the encoder is not sending, or the URL/key is wrong. | Check channel eligibility and first-time activation, confirm the encoder is running, and re-copy the current stream URL and key from the intended Studio stream. |
| Preview appears but stream health is poor | The VPS upload connection may not sustain the encoder’s output. | Check the VPS’s actual outbound stability and bitrate, then lower the output bitrate or choose a supported setting using YouTube’s encoder guidance. |
| Video works but audio is missing or unsuitable | The file may have no usable audio stream, or the selected output path may not include it. | Inspect the source file and encoder output; test narration, music and quiet passages before going live. |
| The broadcast ends when the video reaches its last frame | Real-time pacing does not repeat a file. | Configure and test a loop behavior appropriate to the input and output workflow; no generic command is guaranteed for every file. |
| The stream stops after a VPS or network interruption | The encoder or connection stopped and may not have recovered automatically. | Check the process, provider network and encoder logs, then restart and verify the Studio preview. Arrange a tested recovery procedure rather than assuming a VPS will self-heal. |
| YouTube archive is missing | The stream exceeded 12 hours, or automatic capture did not occur. | Keep a local recording backup and design archive-dependent sessions to finish below YouTube’s 12-hour threshold. |
| The stream key may have been exposed | Credentials were included in a shared command, screenshot or repository. | Reset the key in Live Control Room and update the encoder with the replacement. |
