What the Peacock student discount includes
The offer is for Peacock Premium, not automatically Premium Plus. Peacock currently advertises the student rate at $5.99 per month for 12 months and lists $10.99 per month as the regular monthly price. The $10.99 figure is a current stated comparison, not a guarantee of the price after your promotional year. Applicable taxes may increase the amount charged. Peacock’s offer terms allow the offer to change or end.
Premium is ad-supported. Peacock describes it as including full seasons of Peacock Originals, next-day NBC and Telemundo programming, movies, and live sports and events, subject to programming availability and plan restrictions. The student page lists streaming on three devices at once and up to six profiles. This is a paid subscription, not a free trial: Peacock requires a valid payment method and charges the discounted monthly amount, plus applicable taxes. If you want fewer ads, check Premium Plus separately; the student offer does not establish that an upgrade is included at the student price.

Who qualifies
Peacock’s terms require applicants to meet all of these conditions:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or advanced-degree program.
- Attend a Title IV-accredited college or university in the United States, including U.S. territories, commonwealths, and possessions.
- Reside in the United States or an applicable territory.
- Provide a valid payment method and successfully verify student status through SheerID.
The stated terms do not establish eligibility for high-school students, people taking individual online courses, certificate-only students, or students studying outside the United States. Do not assume those cases qualify unless SheerID confirms eligibility.

How to sign up and redeem the offer
- Start at Peacock’s official page. Go to peacocktv.com/student, rather than using a coupon seller or an unaffiliated verification link.
- Begin student verification. Select the student offer to continue to SheerID. Have your correct enrollment details ready.
- Complete the SheerID check. You may be asked for your name, school, school email address, date of birth, or other information. A school email may help, but it is not established as the only accepted proof. If automatic verification fails, follow the document-upload or manual-review instructions presented in the flow.
- Keep the code. After verification, Peacock provides a unique promotional code. Copy it or retain the confirmation email before leaving the page. The code is one-time use, limited to one per person and email account, and must be redeemed within 30 days of successful verification. Peacock’s terms prohibit transfer, resale, exchange, or combination with another offer.
- Create or sign in to a Peacock account. An existing account can be used, but an active paid subscription may need to be canceled before the offer will apply.
- Add payment and check checkout. Enter a valid credit card or PayPal account, then confirm the final checkout summary shows Peacock Premium, the student promotional price, the 12-month period, and the renewal terms before submitting.
Verification and subscription redemption are separate steps: completing SheerID verification alone does not activate Peacock. For verification problems, use the SheerID Help Center.
Using the offer with an existing Peacock account
A free Peacock account with no active paid plan is different from a paid subscription or an account billed through another provider. Peacock’s student page says existing account holders can sign in and apply the code under Account → Plans & Payments, but an existing paid plan may need to be canceled first.

- Direct Peacock billing: Check the account’s plan and billing status. If the offer is blocked, cancel the current plan through Peacock and wait for the existing term to end if needed.
- Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, cable provider, or another third party: Manage cancellation through the provider that bills you. Peacock says it cannot cancel that billing relationship for you.
- Bundle or promotional subscription: Check its own terms and end date before changing it; do not assume the student code will replace it automatically.
Before canceling, identify who bills the account and whether you would lose remaining paid access. If activation stays blocked after cancellation, wait until the current subscription fully lapses and then try again. See Peacock’s cancellation instructions.
What happens after the 12-month price ends
Unless you cancel or successfully re-verify for an available student renewal offer, Peacock automatically renews the subscription monthly at the then-current retail price. The student page currently states $10.99 per month plus tax as the regular price, but the terms allow the rate to change. Eligible students may be able to renew at the then-current student rate by re-verifying; renewal at the original $5.99 price is not guaranteed.

If Peacock bills you directly
- Log in to Peacock and open the account or Plans & Payments area.
- Select Cancel All Subscriptions.
- Follow the cancellation prompts through to completion.
- Check for an on-screen cancellation confirmation and confirmation email.
Peacock says cancellation stops renewal at the end of the current subscription term. It generally does not provide refunds or credits for prior payments unless required by law.

If another provider bills you
Cancel through the billing provider, such as Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, or another third party. Peacock cannot end that provider’s billing arrangement. The steps and timing depend on that provider.
Troubleshooting verification, codes, and billing

Is the Peacock student offer a good fit?
It is most useful if you expect to watch Peacock’s originals, NBC or Telemundo programming, movies, or live sports and are comfortable with ads and monthly billing. It is a weaker fit if you need an ad-free tier, live outside the eligible U.S. area, do not meet the enrollment rules, or only want the service briefly and might overlook the end of the promotion.
Older pages may quote $1.99, $2.99, or other student rates. Those are not the price Peacock currently advertises on its official student page; confirm the live offer and checkout total before paying.
Other Peacock discounts
Peacock’s student page links to a separate young-adult eligibility path for nonstudents ages 18–24; check that offer directly for its current price and requirements. Peacock also lists a teacher discount for qualifying teachers, faculty, or staff, which is separate from student eligibility: Peacock teacher discount. Do not assume either offer can be combined with the student promotion.
