You generally can’t claim a new one-year-free Apple TV offer from T-Mobile today. T-Mobile’s currently published U.S. consumer offers are six months free on some eligible plans or Apple TV for $3 per month on qualifying plans. The six-month offer automatically renews at $12.99 per month, or the then-current price, unless you cancel. Check your T-Mobile account for the offer attached to your plan.
T-Mobile’s current Apple TV offers
T-Mobile now refers to Apple’s streaming service as Apple TV; older articles may call it Apple TV+. This is the streaming service, not the Apple TV app or Apple TV 4K hardware. T-Mobile’s published consumer offer page shows two main options—not a general one-year-free offer. See T-Mobile’s offer details.

Which T-Mobile plans may qualify?
T-Mobile’s eligible-plan lists span multiple plan generations, and a similar plan name does not guarantee that a particular account qualifies. Grandfathered plans, special-rate versions, and business accounts can have different terms. The definitive check is the offer displayed after you sign in to your T-Mobile account.

How to activate Apple TV through T-Mobile
Have your T-Mobile ID and Apple Account ready. You must be the Primary Account Holder or an Authorized User to manage the account. If you recently brought your number to T-Mobile, finish the port-in process first.

- Open the T-Life app and sign in with your T-Mobile ID, or sign in at T-Mobile.com.
- In T-Life, open Manage, then select See plans and Manage add-ons. Depending on the interface, the menu may say Manage Data & Add-ons.
- Find the Apple TV benefit or trial available to your account and select it.
- Choose Continue and follow the prompts to link the Apple Account you want to use, or create one if needed.
- Finish Apple’s activation flow. Then open the Apple TV app or visit tv.apple.com and sign in with the linked Apple Account.
Menu wording can vary slightly between T-Life versions and the website. The consistent route is Manage → plans or add-ons → Apple TV benefit → Continue. If someone other than the Primary Account Holder starts activation, T-Mobile may require the account holder to provide a one-time PIN sent to their phone. T-Mobile says it can take one to two billing cycles for changes to appear in applicable cases.

If you already have an Apple TV subscription or trial
Use the Apple Account you intend to keep using, and check which account is linked before troubleshooting. T-Mobile says an Apple-billed paid subscription may pause when you redeem its benefit, with the T-Mobile-linked entitlement taking over. The result can depend on the billing arrangement, so verify the subscription and billing status in both your Apple and T-Mobile accounts after activation.

An Apple trial from Apple or another provider generally needs to end before you activate the T-Mobile offer; the FAQ says the offers cannot run simultaneously. T-Mobile also says you cannot combine multiple T-Mobile Apple TV trials, including a previous one-year trial. A customer who used an older trial may still qualify for the $3/month benefit, but that does not promise eligibility for a new six-month trial.
Avoid creating a second subscription with a different Apple Account while diagnosing a problem. First identify the Apple Account used during activation and check whether it shows an active subscription, trial, or paused billing relationship.

What happens after the six-month offer?
The six-month offer automatically renews at $12.99 per month or the then-current price unless canceled. Set a reminder before the trial ends if you do not want to continue. Check which company is billing you: cancel through T-Mobile if the subscription is billed there, or through Apple if it remains Apple-billed. Do not assume that canceling wireless service also cancels a separate Apple subscription.

The $3/month benefit is different: it continues only while your account remains eligible under T-Mobile’s terms. If you change to an ineligible plan or your line is no longer in good standing, the discount could end or the applicable standard price could apply. Review the terms before changing or canceling service.

Business customers: a 12-month code is not a free year
T-Mobile’s FAQ describes a separate arrangement for some T-Mobile for Business customers: accounts billed using an SSN may qualify for a code offering Apple TV for $3 per month for 12 months, for personal, non-commercial use. Accounts opened using a Tax ID are described as ineligible for that offer. Depending on the arrangement in effect, an eligible customer may receive another code or an option to continue through the T-Mobile bill before the first code expires. Check the business-account terms; this is a discounted code-based offer, not a free 12-month consumer trial. T-Mobile’s FAQ has the business details.
Do you need an Apple TV device?
No. You can watch through the Apple TV app on supported devices or in a browser at tv.apple.com; Android users can use the app from Google Play or a computer browser. Apple TV 4K hardware is optional. T-Mobile says the subscription can be shared with up to five family members—six people total—through Apple Family Sharing. See Apple’s Family Sharing instructions.
If the offer does not appear or activation stalls
- Confirm the exact plan name, that the line is active and in good standing, and whether the account shows an Apple TV feature already attached.
- Sign in as the Primary Account Holder or an Authorized User; ask the account holder to check for a one-time verification PIN if prompted.
- Check both T-Life and T-Mobile.com. Menu labels and offer placement may differ.
- If your number was recently ported, wait until port-in processing is complete. If you have an Apple-billed trial, check whether it must end before redemption.
- Verify that you used the intended Apple Account and completed Apple’s activation flow—not only the T-Mobile selection step.
- Allow for the stated one-to-two billing-cycle window where applicable. If T-Mobile shows the entitlement but activation never completes, contact T-Mobile support. For Apple Account access, Family Sharing, app, or playback problems after T-Mobile confirms the entitlement, contact Apple.
Should you change plans just for Apple TV?
Compare the actual monthly price difference between your current plan and the qualifying plan with the value of the streaming benefit—and consider the plan’s other features and how long you expect to keep it. A $3-per-month streaming discount may be useful when you already want the wireless plan, but upgrading to a substantially more expensive plan solely for Apple TV can cost more than paying for streaming separately. The six-month trial is temporary, so include its post-trial price in any comparison.
