You can run a continuous aarti playlist on YouTube by looping licensed audio and a visual through a software encoder on an always-on VPS. Set up YouTube Live, send the encoder feed over RTMPS, leave network headroom, and monitor the broadcast. The critical caveat: YouTube says streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured in its archive, so keep a separate recording if you need a reliable copy.

What you need before you start

  • A YouTube channel that is verified, at least 16 years old for livestreaming, and has had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Check eligibility in YouTube Studio; requirements can change. YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
  • An always-on VPS with reliable outbound bandwidth, plus a software encoder configured to send a feed to YouTube Live. YouTube does not specify a minimum VPS CPU, RAM, or plan size for this workflow.
  • A playlist of audio and a visual file or loop. Use only recordings and compositions you have permission to broadcast and, if applicable, archive.
  • A way to monitor the stream and preserve a separate local recording if a complete archive matters.

A still image or looping devotional visual is one practical presentation choice, not a YouTube requirement. A software encoder is appropriate for a file-based playlist; YouTube describes professional hardware encoders as an option for higher-production-value events, not as a prerequisite. YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.

Set up YouTube Live and protect the stream key

  1. Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live. If prompted, complete channel verification and enable livestreaming; first-time access may take time to activate.
  2. In Live Control Room, create or schedule a stream for an encoder. Use the current stream settings shown there to get the ingest URL and stream key.
  3. Enter those details only in the VPS encoder configuration. Treat the key like a password: do not include it in public scripts, screenshots, logs you share, or the stream description. YouTube describes the key as the credential that routes an encoder feed to the intended stream. See YouTube’s encoder setup guidance.
  4. Choose RTMPS when your encoder supports it and the current Live Control Room details provide it. YouTube recommends RTMPS for ordinary content; it encrypts the connection between encoder and YouTube. Follow the ingest protocol and address currently displayed for your stream. YouTube’s encoder settings and RTMPS ingestion guidance.

Prepare the aarti playlist and visual

Check the files and rights

Confirm that the encoder can read your chosen media formats. Rights must cover both the underlying composition and the particular recording, and should cover the relevant territories and uses, including live transmission and any replay or archive. A devotional or traditional subject does not by itself establish that a particular recording is free to use.

YouTube’s livestream terms place rights responsibility on the content provider. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content; a licensed track can still be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. Keep written permission and ask the rights owner or administrator about allowlisting before going live. Read the YouTube Livestream terms and conditions and review the copyright safety checklist.

Elebase USB to USB C Adapter for iPhone 18 Pro Max,USBC Car Charger Adapter
  • Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
  • Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
  • Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
  • Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
  • 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.

Make the loop deliberate

  • Arrange the playlist in the order you want viewers to hear it. Check the transition from the last item back to the first, not just the individual tracks.
  • Listen through a complete cycle for silence, abrupt level changes, clipping, or unintended gaps. Keep levels reasonably consistent.
  • Use a visual that you have rights to use as well. A static image or a looped visual can accompany an audio playlist, but it should not imply that a live ceremony or camera feed is taking place if it is not.
  • Test the playlist and encoder together before scheduling a public broadcast.

Choose encoder settings that match the feed

YouTube’s current encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS ingest, H.264, H.265, or AV1 video, AAC or MP3 audio, constant bitrate (CBR), frame rates up to 60 fps, and a recommended two-second keyframe interval that should not exceed four seconds. Use the bitrate range YouTube publishes for your selected resolution and frame rate; do not guess a bitrate from a different format. See the current encoder settings and bitrate guidance.

  • Resolution and frame rate: Pick a supported, modest setting suitable for your visual. A static devotional image does not inherently benefit from a high frame rate or resolution; match the output to the source and your available bandwidth.
  • Video bitrate: Set CBR and use YouTube’s bitrate table for the chosen resolution and frame rate. If the encoder transcodes, test that the VPS can sustain it; if it passes through compatible encoded media, test that workflow as configured.
  • Keyframes: Set a two-second interval where the encoder allows it, and do not exceed four seconds.
  • Audio: Use AAC or MP3, at a bitrate supported by YouTube’s current guidance. Check levels and channel layout in the preview.
  • Protocol: Prefer RTMPS where available and supported by the encoder, using the endpoint shown in Live Control Room.

These settings describe YouTube’s published guidance, not a tested VPS configuration. The appropriate server capacity depends on whether your workflow copies already-compatible media or encodes it in real time.

Run the broadcast from the VPS

  1. Install a software encoder on your VPS and configure it to read the playlist and visual, loop them, and send a single continuous output to the YouTube ingest URL with your stream key. The exact command depends on your encoder, media formats, and whether video or audio needs transcoding; no universal command or minimum VPS size is established here.
  2. Start the encoder while the stream is private or unlisted, or use YouTube’s preview before taking the scheduled stream public. Confirm that both picture and audio arrive, the playlist advances, and Live Control Room reports a healthy feed.
  3. Check the VPS’s outbound network use against the actual encoder bitrate. YouTube recommends 20% bandwidth headroom beyond the stream bitrate. If using primary and backup streams, account for both in the capacity calculation. YouTube network tips.
  4. Begin the live broadcast in Live Control Room when the preview is correct. Keep the VPS process supervised and monitor stream health, playback, and any rights-related notices.
  5. Before relying on the setup unattended, test what happens if the encoder process stops, the VPS reboots, or the connection drops. YouTube recommends testing backup-encoder failover; recovery behavior for your specific VPS and encoder must be configured and verified by you. YouTube’s network and failover tips.

Plan for recording and broadcasts longer than 12 hours

YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, recommends keeping a local archive backup, and cautions that a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. For a 24/7 channel, do not treat the YouTube archive as your dependable master recording. Set up and test a separate recording path, and check that the recording is actually growing. YouTube’s live-stream archiving guidance.

One option is to run continuous playback while producing separate, shorter broadcast sessions and recordings. That can make archive management more practical, but each session boundary can interrupt viewing and needs its own transition and restart plan. The cited YouTube guidance does not establish a guaranteed automatic rotation method for uninterrupted 24/7 broadcasts; verify the current Studio controls and test the full workflow before depending on it.

Troubleshoot common problems

Symptom Likely cause What to check or do
YouTube receives no feed Wrong ingest URL or stream key, encoder not running, or incompatible protocol configuration. Compare the encoder destination with the current Live Control Room details; confirm the process is running and keep the key private.
Unstable feed or dropped frames Insufficient outbound capacity or network disruption. Check the VPS’s actual outbound rate and leave YouTube’s recommended 20% headroom. Review network health and test failover rather than assuming it will work.
Audio is missing, silent, or uneven Wrong audio input or format, an empty playlist segment, or inconsistent source levels. Verify the encoder is reading the intended audio track, use a supported AAC or MP3 setting, and listen through a full playlist cycle before going public.
The visual or audio stops at the end of the playlist The encoder is not configured to loop the media or fails at the transition. Test multiple complete cycles, including the last-to-first transition, and inspect the encoder’s process and logs.
A live stream is interrupted by a copyright notice A rights match, missing permission, or a licensed track whose owner has not allowlisted the channel through Content ID. Pause or replace the affected material as appropriate; confirm rights and allowlisting with the rights owner before restarting it.
No complete YouTube archive appears The broadcast exceeded 12 hours or the platform did not capture it. Use a separate recording as the reliable backup; YouTube warns that streams over 12 hours may not be captured.

Costs and server sizing

A VPS is a recurring hosting cost, but there is no universal plan or server size established for this setup. Compare providers on sustained outbound bandwidth, network reliability, server location relative to your needs, and whether the chosen workflow requires real-time video encoding. Test the actual playlist and settings before committing to an unattended 24/7 deployment; a provider’s advertised CPU or transfer allowance alone cannot prove the workflow will remain stable.
