In the episode, a cartoon version of Cook visits Trump, praises his ideas about the technology industry and presents him with a plaque modeled closely on the real one. The scene is scripted satire, not a record of what Cook said or did in the White House. 9to5Mac’s contemporaneous account describes the parody; the Los Angeles Times season guide places the gift-giving scene in a wider sequence of visitors waiting outside the Oval Office.
What did Tim Cook give Trump in real life?
MacRumors reported in 2025 that the real gift was a glass plaque engraved with an Apple logo and mounted on a 24-karat pure gold base. The report does not establish the base’s monetary value.
#1 Best Overall
MacRumors also linked Cook’s White House appearance to Apple’s announcement of an additional $100 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing over the next four years, bringing the company’s stated total investment to $600 billion. Those figures describe Apple’s investment announcement as reported by MacRumors; they are not the value of the plaque.
