Apple’s “Study With Me feat. Storm Reid x Apple” is a free-to-watch study-along video built around three focus periods and short breaks. Apple describes the 90-minute session as a way to study alongside Reid, with lo-fi music and relaxation techniques. The video features a 15-inch M2 MacBook Air, but its description does not say viewers need that computer to join in.
What happens in the video?
This is a study-along session, not a lesson on a particular subject. Storm Reid works through the session while viewers can study their own material. Apple’s video description calls it a 90-minute video designed to help viewers focus and avoid distractions. Watch Apple’s video on YouTube.
Apple’s stated format is three 25-minute study sessions, each followed by a five-minute break. The video’s available chapter points show when those segments begin:
| Chapter | Timestamp |
|---|---|
| Introduction | 00:00:00 |
| First study session | 00:00:38 |
| First break | 00:25:56 |
| Second study session | 00:30:55 |
| Second break | 00:56:08 |
| Third study session | 01:01:29 |
| Third break | 01:26:43 |
These are navigation points, not proof that every focus period or break lasts exactly the nominal amount. The listed chapters are reproduced on ZP’s March 2024 page with the video details.

Do you need the MacBook Air shown?
No requirement to use the featured laptop appears in Apple’s video description. The device is product context for the video: Reid uses the 15-inch MacBook Air with M2. MacRumors’s October 11, 2023 coverage notes Apple’s promotion of the M2 chip, multitasking, and the laptop’s stated battery life. Those are launch-era vendor claims, not a current comparison or buying recommendation. Read MacRumors’s launch coverage.
What is the soundtrack?
Apple describes the music as chill lo-fi. MacRumors credits Platoon Beats, while the reproduced video details list tracks and artists. That supports identifying the soundtrack and its credits, but not treating it as a separate official album.

Does the session improve focus or grades?
Apple presents the video as a focus aid, but the available sources do not establish that it improves grades, concentration, or study outcomes for everyone. A positive community comment is anecdotal, not evidence of a general effect; see the Apple Education Community discussion. Whether the format helps is something viewers can judge for themselves.
