How Do I Log In to Disney Plus on a TV? (2026 Guide)

Open the Disney+ app on your TV, choose Log In, then either scan the displayed QR code or visit DisneyPlus.com/begin on a phone or computer. Enter the 8-digit code shown on the TV, sign in with your Disney+/MyDisney email and password, and select Start Streaming if prompted. The app should refresh automatically.

Before you start

  • An active Disney+ subscription.
  • The Disney+ app installed on a compatible smart TV, streaming stick, set-top box or game console.
  • The email address and password for the Disney+ or MyDisney account.
  • Internet access on the TV-connected device and, for activation, a phone or computer.
  • The TV and connected device powered on and connected to the intended network.

Disney+ uses MyDisney credentials across Disney services. Changing that email address or password can change the credentials used elsewhere. Device availability and features vary by territory; this guide reflects U.S. guidance checked August 18, 2026.

Identify the sign-in screen you see

TV screen What to do
QR code and 8-digit code Use DisneyPlus.com/begin on a phone or computer.
Email and password fields Enter the subscription email and current password on the device.
Email followed by a 6-digit code Enter the emailed one-time code; it expires after 15 minutes.
Phone approval request With both devices on the same Wi-Fi, tap Allow in the already-signed-in mobile app.

The available flow depends on the device, region and app version. Chromecast and AirPlay use phone-controlled casting rather than signing in to the TV app.

Log in with the TV activation code

  1. Open Disney+ from the TV or device home screen.
  2. Select Log In and leave the activation screen visible.
  3. Scan the QR code, if shown, or manually open DisneyPlus.com/begin.
  4. Enter the 8-digit code displayed on the TV exactly as shown.
  5. Continue in the browser and enter your Disney+/MyDisney email address and password.
  6. Select Start Streaming when offered, then wait for the TV app to refresh and choose a profile.

Only enter credentials on the official Disney domain. Never give an activation or one-time code to someone who contacts you unexpectedly.

Some TV-connected devices show email and password fields instead of an activation code. Enter the email used for the subscription, select Continue, and submit the current password.

Email and 6-digit one-time code

On supported devices, enter the subscription email, select Continue, and type the 6-digit code sent by email. Disney says the code expires after 15 minutes. Check spam or junk mail, request another code, or choose Log in with password if that option appears.

Roku Ultra, Ultimate Streaming Player - 4K Streaming Device for TV
  • Ultra-speedy streaming: Roku Ultra is 30% faster than any other Roku player, delivering a lightning-fast interface and apps that launch in a snap.
  • Cinematic streaming: This TV streaming device brings the movie theater to your living room with spectacular 4K, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision picture alongside immersive Dolby Atmos audio.
  • The ultimate Roku remote: The rechargeable Roku Voice Remote Pro offers backlit buttons, hands-free voice controls, and a lost remote finder.
  • No more fumbling in the dark: See what you’re pressing with backlit buttons.
  • Say goodbye to batteries: Keep your remote powered for months on a single charge.

Approve from the mobile app

  1. Connect the phone and TV-connected device to the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Confirm Disney+ is already signed in on the phone.
  3. Open Disney+ on the TV device and then on the phone.
  4. Tap Allow when the device-login request appears.

This approval option is device-dependent and is not guaranteed to appear.

If the QR code or activation code fails

  1. Type DisneyPlus.com/begin manually instead of scanning.
  2. Check every character; do not substitute an old code after restarting or leaving the activation screen.
  3. Return to the TV app to generate a fresh code.
  4. Open the activation page in a private or incognito browser window, as Disney recommends when the link will not load.
  5. Temporarily disable an extension or content blocker that may interfere, and verify the phone or computer is online.
  6. Update or restart the Disney+ app, then restart the TV or streaming device.

If your email, password or code is rejected

  • For a wrong password, use Disney’s password-recovery process and then retry with the updated MyDisney password.
  • Error code 14 indicates a sign-in credential problem and calls for a password reset.
  • If you cannot remember the email address, contact Disney+ support rather than repeatedly guessing among accounts.
  • If a one-time-code email is missing, check spam/junk, request a resend, or use password login when available.

When Disney+ says the TV is outside your Household

Messages such as “Sharing Disney+ outside your Household” or “This TV doesn’t seem to be part of the Disney+ Household for this account” are account-sharing or Household checks, not ordinary password failures. Follow Disney’s Household guidance at Disney+ login help. A hotel, dormitory, public Wi-Fi network or mobile hotspot can also place the device in a different network context.

Roku Streaming Stick Plus with Voice Remote - 4K & HDR10+
  • 4K streaming made simple:With America’s number 1 TV streaming platform,* exploring popular apps—plus tons of free movies, shows, and live TV—is as easy as it is fun. *Based on hours streamed—Hypothesis Group
  • 4K picture quality: With Roku Streaming Stick Plus, watch your favorites with brilliant 4K picture and vivid HDR color.
  • Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, and it even powers from your TV alone, plugging into the back and staying out of sight. No wall outlet, no extra cords, no clutter.

  • Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.

When login works but playback does not

Authentication and streaming are separate problems. Try these in order:

  1. Play another app on the TV to see whether the connection problem is broader than Disney+.
  2. Fully close and reopen Disney+, then restart the TV or streaming device.
  3. Install pending Disney+ and device-system updates.
  4. If other apps fail, restart the modem or router.
  5. Reinstall Disney+ if it remains unstable.
  6. Clear cache or data where the platform supports it.

Documented cache and data paths

  • Android TV: Settings > Applications > Disney+ > Clear Cache and Clear Data.
  • Fire TV: Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Disney+ > Clear Cache and Clear Data.
  • Apple TV: Uninstall and reinstall Disney+.

Other platforms use different menus; see Disney’s device cache instructions. If playback shows error code 75, the subscription has reached its permitted simultaneous-streaming limit. Stop playback elsewhere, sign out of unused or unfamiliar devices, and use Manage Devices where available. Remove unknown devices and change the password if necessary; the applicable limit depends on the plan and current terms.
