That judgment should not be inflated into certainty about his motives. Aegon’s arrival at Rook’s Rest is described in independent episode analysis as unexpected, and the available account leaves room for interpretation about what Aemond intends toward his brother. It is fair to ask whether Aemond knowingly puts Aegon in danger; it is not established here as fact that he set out to kill him.
Why Aegon is the biggest loser
Aegon’s loss is not simply that he is on the losing side of a critical moment. Could Rhaenyra be the MVP instead?
