The Fruits Basket season 3 trailer previews the emotional stakes of Fruits Basket: The Final, the 2019 anime adaptation’s third and last season. Released in March 2021, it points to Tohru facing difficult truths, time running short for someone close to her, and a possible clue to lifting the Soma family curse. It keeps the key identities and outcome under wraps.
What the trailer says about the final season
The official Crunchyroll Dubs trailer description frames the story around the revelations that left the Soma family struggling to move forward. Tohru is wrestling with what she has learned; someone close to her faces a time limit; and a clue may offer a way to lift the curse. The description asks whether the family’s imprisonment could be nearing its end.
That is the trailer’s spoiler-light premise, not a full account of its scenes. The available description does not provide a shot-by-shot transcript, so it is better to stick to those stated stakes than infer specific events or identify who is in danger.
Why the trailer has the feels
The emotional shorthand came from the series’ official English account. In its March 12, 2021 report, Crunchyroll News reproduced the account’s reaction: “Our emotions through this all-new trailer: ????????????????” It was a playful promotional response, rather than a quote attributed to a named cast or crew member.
