Janai Norman, a co-anchor of Good Morning America’s weekend edition, welcomed her third child, a baby boy, in November 2023. She shared the news on Christmas Day, and GMA reported it on December 30.

Norman’s baby boy was born in November 2023, according to ABC’s December 30, 2023 report. She announced his arrival on Instagram on Christmas Day.
In the post, quoted by GMA, Norman wrote: “We welcomed baby boy Earthside last month. Born safely at home with daddy, big brother and sister nearby. The five of us. Our family is complete and blessed beyond our wildest dreams.” The birth details are Norman’s account as reproduced by the outlet.

Norman and her husband have three children. At the time of the December 2023 announcement, the older children were a five-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter; those ages describe that point in time, not their current ages.

Norman said she planned to focus on recovery, healing and bonding, and to disconnect for 40 days. Looking back, she described taking those first 40 days off-grid and staying home as beautiful. That was her personal plan and experience, not medical advice or a recommendation for other parents.

ABC News reported on February 10, 2024, that Norman had returned to weekend GMA after maternity leave. An official ABC biography dated 2025 lists her as a Saturday and Sunday co-anchor of GMA and an ABC News Live Weekend anchor on a rotating basis; those roles are attributed to that biography’s date.
