Where to watch the GlobeTrotter event in India
The official India streaming destination was JioHotstar. JioHotstar’s promotional announcement described the broadcast as available only on its platform and scheduled it for 7:00 p.m. onwards on November 15, 2025.
Because the broadcast date has passed, do not look for a live stream. Open the JioHotstar app or website and search for:
- GlobeTrotter event
- Varanasi event
- SSMB29 event
- Rajamouli Mahesh Babu event
- JioHotstar GlobeTrotter
If the full programme is no longer listed, check JioHotstar’s verified YouTube channel and the official social accounts of the film’s makers for authorized highlights or the first glimpse. A fan upload, clipped social-media video or re-encoded stream should not be treated as an official replay.

What time did the event start?
There were two times in circulation, referring to different parts of the programme:
- 6:00 p.m. IST onwards: the reported start time for the physical event at Ramoji Film City.
- 7:00 p.m. IST onwards: the start time advertised for the JioHotstar online broadcast in India.
The distinction likely reflects the venue programme beginning before the main digital broadcast, although the available announcements do not establish the exact reason. For online viewers in India, 7:00 p.m. IST was the relevant advertised time.

Could viewers outside India watch it?
International coverage reported that Variety would carry the event on YouTube for viewers outside India. That option should be understood separately from JioHotstar’s India stream: the available information does not confirm that the same YouTube broadcast was available to viewers in India.
Overseas viewers should search Variety’s verified YouTube channel or official event posts and check the video’s current regional availability. The broadcast may have been geo-blocked, removed or replaced by highlights. Do not assume that JioHotstar India access works in every country, and do not use unofficial restreams or piracy sites.

What did the GlobeTrotter event reveal?
The event delivered the first major public reveal for Rajamouli’s film with Mahesh Babu and unveiled its official title: Varanasi. Coverage also described a first glimpse or teaser, performances and a large-scale launch presentation. Associated Press coverage confirmed the title reveal.
The names can be confusing:
- SSMB29: the production or working-reference label used before the official title.
- GlobeTrotter: the promotional, event-era name used in advance coverage.
- Varanasi: the official film title unveiled at the event.
GlobeTrotter is therefore useful when searching for the 2025 launch, but it is not the film’s current official title. The event itself was also not the film’s theatrical release, and its teaser or first look should not be confused with the complete launch programme.
