It does not identify a particular loss as Yuji’s “biggest,” or describe his role as redemption. That framing should be treated as an interpretation of the story, not an official synopsis.
What does the official synopsis establish about Yuji?
Shueisha’s volume 3 listing places Yuji in a late-series confrontation: Maki and Maru are fighting while the effort to save Yuka is underway. This confirms his presence in the conflict and connects his appearance to urgent stakes, but the synopsis does not explain his motives or say that he is trying to undo an earlier failure. That distinction matters. A character’s return during a rescue effort can invite readers to see a chance to make amends, but the publisher summary alone cannot establish which past event the phrase “biggest loss” means—or whether the story itself frames Yuji’s actions as redemption.

The shift in era and cast gives Yuji’s appearance particular weight, but it does not, by itself, explain what he has lost or what he hopes to repair. Readers looking for that specific answer need the chapter scenes, not just the publisher’s short description.
Where does Yuji’s appearance fall in the release?
Shueisha’s Japanese print edition of volume 3 collects chapters 17 through 25. It is listed as a 208-page volume released May 1, 2026, with ISBN 978-4-08-885042-9. Those details describe the Japanese physical edition; they do not confirm an English print edition or current retailer availability. Shueisha’s volume 3 bibliographic listing
VIZ lists chapter 25 on March 8, 2026. That is the chapter listing date, not the later print publication date for volume 3. VIZ’s Chapter 25 listing
