Quick wins for a faster PC:
Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →For a prerecorded video loop that needs to stay live on YouTube, StreamNeo is the first option to evaluate: it runs from the cloud, supports uploads up to 4K at 60 fps at one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day. Dacast is a broader professional video platform; it may suit teams that need hosted video, access controls, monetization or simulcasting, rather than only a continuous YouTube loop.
Other candidates include Gyre, YtLive Stream and StreamAdda. The right choice depends on destinations, active-stream limits, storage, output quality and who is responsible for recovery—not just the advertised starting price.
Which Dacast alternative fits a nonstop YouTube stream?
These services are not interchangeable. For a prerecorded video playing in a continuous loop, look first at platforms that explicitly support continuous prerecorded streaming. For a live camera or produced event, evaluate encoder ingest, redundancy, monitoring and the broader professional workflow.
| Option | Best fit | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo | One or more prerecorded YouTube streams run from the cloud, with a simple loop workflow. | Storage is 10 GB per slot, pooled across active slots; it is YouTube-focused. StreamNeo publishes some comparison content used in this article, so its claims and prices are provider-published, not independent assessments. |
| Gyre | Creators who need multiple social destinations, playlist management or scheduling. | Compare concurrent streams, storage, resolution and scheduling inclusions. Its pricing page lists USD tiers; confirm how Indian checkout handles currency and taxes. |
| YtLive Stream | Users comparing channel and concurrent-stream tiers. | Check the output cap, channel allowance, storage and whether recovery features are included in the selected plan. Its uptime figure is a vendor statement, not an independent measurement. |
| StreamAdda | A budget-oriented single-slot prerecorded loop. | Confirm the selected plan’s storage, resolution and terms; the listed monthly Business plan describes one slot, 4 GB storage and 1080p output. |
| Dacast | Professional video workflows that need hosting, delivery, access controls or monetization in addition to live streaming. | Compare the whole platform and its delivery needs, not just the cost of a loop. Its page describes encoder ingest, hosted live video and VOD, recordings, access controls and monetization. |
| GoLiveIndia | Potentially scheduled or shorter runs. | Its published tiers list maximum live durations from one hour to 24 hours. A 24-hour maximum does not establish indefinite continuous streaming. |
| DIY computer and encoder | Operators who want direct control and can keep the sending setup maintained. | You remain responsible for the computer, internet, restarts, monitoring and stream-key security. |
For a prerecorded loop, the closest like-for-like choices are StreamNeo, Gyre, YtLive Stream and StreamAdda. Dacast remains relevant when its broader platform capabilities matter. Dacast lists OBS, Wirecast and vMix as encoders usable with its service, but a local encoder and a cloud-hosted loop place the operational burden in different places.

How to choose
- Identify the source. A prerecorded loop calls for a service that explicitly supports continuous prerecorded streaming. A live camera or produced event calls for an encoder workflow and suitable monitoring or redundancy.
- Count destinations and streams. One YouTube channel differs from multiple channels or simulcasting to social platforms. Confirm whether the provider counts slots, channels or concurrent active streams. StreamNeo streams to YouTube only.
- Compare the complete plan. Check storage, resolution and frame-rate limits, playlists, scheduling, file-size limits, support and billing or cancellation terms alongside price.
- Choose who operates the encoder. A cloud loop service removes a home computer from the continuous-send path, but you still upload media, configure the destination and handle account or content issues. DIY avoids a streaming-service fee only if you can maintain and monitor the computer and connection.
- Assess recovery claims. Ask about contractual SLAs, incident history and recovery behavior if uptime is business-critical. No independent reliability comparison establishes that any option is failure-proof.
DIY: keep a YouTube stream running from your own computer
YouTube supports encoder-based streaming. Its guidance describes three ways to stream: webcam, mobile device or an encoder (streaming software or hardware). A local encoder gives you control, but the machine and internet connection must remain available for the stream to continue. Follow YouTube’s current encoder setup instructions for the channel-specific interface and requirements: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Prepare the video and rights. Use content you own or are authorized to stream. Check music, footage and other third-party material; a continuous loop does not exempt a broadcast from copyright or YouTube policy. Consider whether a repetitive stream adds enough original value for your channel’s goals.
- Create the live stream in YouTube Studio. In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and choose encoder/streaming software where prompted. Review the current stream settings and audience details shown for your channel.
- Copy the stream key securely. Use the key associated with the intended stream in your encoder’s YouTube RTMP destination settings. Treat it like a password: do not publish it or share it. If exposed, replace or reset it in YouTube Studio.
- Configure the encoder. Select the source video or playlist and configure output resolution, frame rate and bitrate to match the source and your stable upload bandwidth. YouTube’s guidance and the encoder’s current interface should govern supported settings; avoid choosing a bitrate or resolution your connection cannot sustain.
- Set the loop and start sending. Enable repeat/loop playback in the encoder or playlist workflow, then start streaming. Confirm in YouTube Studio that the incoming preview appears before going live, and check the public watch page after starting.
- Keep the setup healthy. Prevent sleep or shutdown, keep the encoder running, use a stable wired connection where practical, monitor the stream and plan how you will recover after power, network or software failure. A spare computer or mini PC is optional, not a requirement.
For YouTube’s documented encoder workflow, see YouTube Help. Dacast also describes encoder ingest and supported encoder software in its platform overview.

Troubleshooting a continuous YouTube stream
- No incoming preview in YouTube Studio: confirm the encoder is sending to the correct destination and stream key, then check that the encoder has actually started and the connection is online.
- Stream disconnects or buffers: check upload stability and whether the chosen output settings exceed what the connection can sustain. On a local setup, inspect power settings, network interruptions and encoder errors.
- Wrong video or loop stops: confirm the intended file or playlist is selected and repeat is enabled in the encoder or service. Test the full sequence before relying on it for a long run.
- Key no longer works: verify that the key matches the intended YouTube stream. If it may have been exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio and update the encoder or service configuration.
- Stream runs but has a policy or rights problem: review YouTube notices and the rights for every audio and video element. Technical continuity cannot resolve a copyright claim or account restriction.
- Provider advertises recovery but outages matter: ask for the plan-specific recovery behavior and contractual service terms; marketing language alone does not establish guaranteed uptime.
