In LiveReacting, add a Video Playlist layer to your project and turn on Play in loop. When the last video finishes, the playlist starts again with its first video. This repeats the playlist in the LiveReacting project being streamed to YouTube; it does not make a YouTube channel playlist repeat a live broadcast.
How to loop a playlist in LiveReacting
- Open your LiveReacting project.
- Select New Layer → Video → Video Playlist.
- Upload the video files you want to include and select them for the playlist.
- Arrange the videos in the order you want them to play.
- In the playlist controls, enable Play in loop.
- Stream the project to YouTube. With looping enabled, playback returns to the first video after the last one ends. If looping is disabled, playback stops at the end of the playlist.
This is LiveReacting’s documented workflow; it is not a hands-on test. The playlist layer is populated with video files, so a YouTube playlist URL alone does not automatically become a continuous live stream. See LiveReacting’s help documentation and its video playlist guide for the product instructions.
What “looping a YouTube playlist” means here
There are two different playlist functions that are easy to confuse:
- LiveReacting playlist layer: controls which uploaded videos play in the live project and whether they repeat during the broadcast.
- YouTube channel playlist: organizes videos or a completed livestream replay for viewers. Adding a replay to one does not restart or repeat the live broadcast.

Continuous operation and plan terms
LiveReacting’s 24/7 streaming guide says continuous operation requires its 24/7 Streaming plan. Plan names and requirements can change, so confirm the current terms with LiveReacting before subscribing.

Archive expectations
YouTube’s current guidance says live streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived, while streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. If you need a replay of a long-running broadcast, plan for the archive limit and keep a local backup. See YouTube Help’s live-stream archiving guidance.
Copyright and permissions
Before streaming, make sure you have the necessary rights to use every video and audio track in the broadcast, including music rights where applicable. YouTube’s Terms of Service place responsibility for the required rights on the content provider.

Monetization is a separate question
A playlist that loops correctly is not automatically eligible for monetization. YouTube’s monetization policies require original, authentic content and say repetitive or mass-produced content can be ineligible. The policy update note dated July 15, 2025, states: “This type of content has always been ineligible for monetization under our existing policies, where creators are rewarded for original and authentic content.” Review YouTube’s channel monetization policies for the rules that apply to your channel and content.
If the playlist does not repeat
- Playback stops after the last video: check that Play in loop is enabled in the Video Playlist controls.
- The wrong videos play or the order is wrong: verify that the intended uploaded files are selected and arranged in the desired order.
- You expected a YouTube playlist to drive the broadcast: create and configure a Video Playlist layer in the LiveReacting project; adding a YouTube playlist or replay to your channel is a separate organizational action.
- You need a permanent replay from a very long stream: do not rely solely on YouTube’s automatic archive for a stream longer than 12 hours; keep a local copy.
