Chelsie Baham won Big Brother 26 by a unanimous 7–0 jury vote, and that result fits the season: Makensy Manbeck had the power to choose her final opponent, but Chelsie had made a stronger case that she shaped the game beyond the competition wins. That is an argument about what the jury valued, not proof that every viewer would have voted the same way.
How the finale set up the final vote
The Season 26 finale aired October 13, 2024, as Episode 39. The three remaining houseguests—Cam, Makensy, and Chelsie—competed in the three-part final Head of Household contest, with Taylor Hale overseeing the jury roundtable. The episode listing named a $750,000 grand prize. CBS’s Season 26 episode guide and its finale page document the finale details.
Chelsie won Part 1; Makensy won Parts 2 and 3. With the final decision in her hands, Makensy evicted Cam and took Chelsie to the final two. The jury then voted 7–0 for Chelsie. Why Chelsie’s win fits the season
Her case was influence, not just survival
At the jury questioning, Chelsie described her approach as knowing when to speak and when to let events unfold. She also claimed credit for persuading Makensy to use the veto on Angela and later to evict Leah. Those claims gave jurors a way to connect Chelsie’s social position to decisions that affected the game, rather than treating her as a finalist who simply benefited from other people’s choices. TVLine’s recap says the jury considered whether Chelsie had influenced some of Makensy’s moves.

The jury had a clear basis for rewarding that game
A final jury vote is not a neutral scoring system: it reflects how those jurors assessed the finalists’ games and explanations. Here, the 7–0 result indicates that none of the jurors chose Makensy, even though the recap records discussion of her competition wins. The outcome makes sense if the jury saw Chelsie’s ability to shape decisions and relationships as more valuable than securing power in individual contests.
Makensy’s strongest counterargument
Makensy did not arrive at the final two by default. She won both the second and third parts of the final Head of Household competition, then made the decisive choice to evict Cam. That achievement gave her control over the last elimination and demonstrated an ability to win when the game was at its most immediate and consequential.

Her competition record was a real argument for the prize, and the jury discussed it. But winning competitions and authoring the decisions that define a season are different kinds of accomplishments. The finale’s central disagreement was whether Makensy’s wins outweighed Chelsie’s reported influence over key choices. The jury’s unanimous answer was no; viewers can still reasonably give Makensy’s late-game performance more weight.

Chelsie’s win feels like the right ending because her case joined social awareness to strategic influence, while Makensy’s final run supplied the strongest competing claim. The jury settled the official result by voting 7–0. Calling that result deserved is an interpretation—but one grounded in the contrast the finale itself put before the jurors.
