Sarah Sherman played a personified brain worm on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update in the May 11, 2024 episode. The official clip presents the character as stopping by to endorse Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for president; its parasite jokes and celebrity references are satire, not medical reporting.
What happens in the Weekend Update sketch?
The bit turns a reported story about Kennedy into a speaking character. In the official SNL clip, the worm visits Weekend Update to endorse him for president. TheWrap’s recap describes jokes about parasites, Kennedy’s appearance, and celebrities including Kevin Spacey, Randy Quaid, Jake Paul, and Jack Harlow. Those references belong to the sketch’s comedy, not factual claims about the people named.
TheWrap reported Sherman’s line, “RFK’s body was a worm’s paradise, OK?” and the joke “not a single drop of vaccine in sight.” Both are dialogue from the sketch.
Who played the brain worm, and when did the episode air?
SNL cast member Sarah Sherman played the worm in the May 11, 2024 episode. Maya Rudolph hosted, Vampire Weekend was the musical guest, and Colin Jost and Michael Che appeared as Weekend Update co-anchors, according to the Us Weekly episode recap.

How should the brain-worm reference be understood?
The sketch draws on a reported brain-worm story, but its jokes do not verify the medical details behind that account. The SNL clip and entertainment recaps establish the sketch’s premise and context; they are not independent medical sources.
